That's kinda... weird. My ex was my best friend, but I ignored everything bad about her (which honestly, leaves little in the hollow shell of her personality); turns out I was just blinded by the idea that she was the one to the point where I didn't realize she was actually a terrible person. Still, after a break-up, you can do pretty much whatever you want (within reason), but actively doing something entirely to spite your ex is a pretty childish move. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but be glad you can see things like that clearly now. Flaws like that can't (scratch that, shouldn't) be ignored, so it's not like it's healthy to fall back on (if that were ever in the realm of possibility). I really don't want to come off a jerk here (because I've been there), so I'll just apologize in advance if I sound like one.
