I don't recall when I joined.  The forums date is wrong though since it was revamped and the dates didn't carry.  Regardless, I see on the 'new' forum I still average greater than one post per day.

As stated, the TMK site is very usable, but the forum is fairly dead.  How can we revive it?

What do you mean? It doesn't shutdown until January 30
Ahh!  I see.

Here's what happened.  At my in-laws they asked me to get back their downloaded games.  I assumed one of the grandkids had inadvertently deleted them.  (I gave them a Wii with a lot of VC and a few Wiiware games years ago.)  I got the Wii online with their new router and proceeded to the shop.  There I couldn't find any indication of the previously downloaded games.  This was frustrating and took a long time because they use very limited dish internet.  Eventually I gave up and assumed everything was lost based on an internet article that Nintendo had canceled the service.

...I posted here and later read LD's reply.  Curious...

I now know that my in-laws have a different Wii than the one I gave them that had games already on it.  Wow, that explains a lot!

So, I got my Wii out of storage and will be downloading all the VC and Wiiware games onto SD card(s) assuming the Wii still works.

Thanks LD!

Free, No!  A few months ago I was ****ed to find that I could no longer access the games I spent nearly $1000 for.

Is there any rule(s) against multiple posts and/or scripts?

Go into the LCDs settings and see if it has a game mode or a way to turn off any processing it maybe doing.

Thanks Thor!  I gave a short listen to each and added them to my list.  I'll give them a good listen when I have more time.  Thanks again!

If you come across an iQue give it a try.  To me it feels much better than the original N64 controller.

If we consider the screen to be the most important for a portable console, I see three ways Nintendo could go:

1. Shrink the whole system down to the current screen size or smaller.  In other words, a Switch mini.

2. Keep the system the same size, but increase the size of the screen to remove the large black bezels.  Maybe this could be a Switch+ with a few other minor enhancements.

3.  Make a bigger XL system in proportion to the the current system screen and console size.

Assuming that you grant me the above three options:

1.  The mini would shrink the joycons so small that they would be unusable by most adults and it would go the way of the GBA micro.

2.  This seems the best bet for me, but without "a few other minor enhancements" I don't see it happening.

3.  Maybe, but I feel skipping to the next nvidia chip set would be a logical goal as it would increase performance while also increasing battery life.
