SMA+SMW
Luigi's Mansion
SSBM
Mario Sunshine
Star Tropics

It's not a matter of optimism or pessimism, it's a matter of common sense! (half empty or half full?)

Well, here would be my 5 games if I were stranded (If I were stranded somewhere without anything but video games, I'd spend my time finding shelter, food, etc. so I could survive, so I wouldn't play them much anyway, but for the topics sake, I'll go along). . .

If you don't count the Gamecube, then I'd pick:

1. SMAS + SMW (SNES) [5 games in one. . .]
2. Super Smash Bros. (N64) [my favorite video game to date]
3. Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time (N64) [who could live without a Zelda game?]
4. Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast) [gasp - a Sega game!]
5. I'm split between Goldeneye (N64) and Super Mario RPG (SNES). I'd probably pick Goldeneye, but I'm still kind of split.

Now, if you count the Gamecube:

1. SMAS + SMW (SNES)
2. Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN) [an advanced version of my favorite video game, Super Smash Bros. - I'm definitely bringing this]
3. Mario Sunshine (GCN) [Mario + GCN = A great game {hopefully}]
4. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II (GCN)[I'm a SW maniac, and from what I've seen, this game is an almost perfect representation of the SW universe]
5. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)

Well, there you go, these are my choices. . .

Well, here are my games, in no particular order.

SMW+S-Allstars (SNES)
Sonic Jam (SATURN)
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Classics (NES)
FF anthonlogies
The first two are compilations of two of my favorite sereis of Platformers, Mario and Sonic. Then we go into CT, my favorite RPG of all time. Final Fantasy 6 is my second favorite RPG, so it gets in there, and finally Donkey Kong. It has no true end and is addicting as it is fun.

Here's what I'd have on my desert island:

*Donkey Kong Classics- NES
*Super Smash Bros. Melee- GameCube
*Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World- Super NES
*Perfect Dark- N64
*Legend of Zelda:  Ocarina of Time- N64

5 Games that almost made the cut:
+Wario Land 2- GameBoy Color
+Legend of Zelda:  Majora's Mask- N64
+Luigi's Mansion- GameCube
+StarFox- NES
+Yoshi's Island

Man, that was a lot harder than I thought!  Good thing I'm not planning on being stranded on a desert island any time soon.

Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
Mario Bros.
Wario's Woods
Wrecking Crew

Why would I choose those? Because I've never played them before!

And no, I'm not going to spend $200+ on a GBA just for Mario Bros. It must be the original one for NES, or I'm never going to play it! That applies to everything except perhaps Wario's Woods, where the SNES version would let me play against the COM.

Oh, and if someone else on the island brings Yoshi's Safari, I'll take it away from them so they can't play. Or at least take away their spare Super Scope batteries.

Here's my list, in no particular order:

Super Smash Bros.
SMAS + SMW
Mario Kart 64
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Goldeneye

Tough choices, though. I have a lot of other games that would come in handy on a desert island.

I would have to have at least the first 5 of my favorites.

1. Super Mario All-Stars & Super Mario World (SNES)
2. Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)
3. Mario Sunshine (GC)
4. Tetris & Dr. Mario (SNES)
5. Super Mario RPG (SNES)
6. Super Mario 64 (N64)
7. Paper Mario (N64)
8. Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
9. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
10. Final Fantasy Anthologies (unknown)

If I had to break the combination games down, I would take SMB3 & SMW instead of all the All-Stars collection, and take both Tetris Attack & Dr. Mario 64 instead of the combination SNES titles.
