Title: What does your voice sound like?
Post by: NintendoExpert89 on February 08, 2004, 12:55:51 PM
Just curious. I wonder what a forum member would sound like if you were actually talking to him or her. If you want to know what my voice sounds like, go here:

x
It's also where I have my school picture of myself. You hear my voice as "background music" only once, when the page completes loading. I say "This is what I sound like." How about the rest of you?

I told you I would shoot, but you didn`t believe me! WHY DIDN`T YOU BELIEVE ME?!!

Anyone who wants to hear my voice send me a request over AIM or via e-mail because I'm too lazy to put it on my site.

Oh and although this is dangerous, my screen name is "Meowrik" on there too.

If you're going to annoy me on AIM, then prepare to be Blocked.

Thank you very much for that, Deezer! Your voice sounds quite unique just like the others'; I'm glad to have heard it. And thank you for the compliment on my being funny! ;)

You have a good point about the pronunciation of my name—Watoad does have a nice sound to it. Hmmm . . .

As a token of my gratitude, I give you something new (in more ways than one). Enjoy, Deezer and all.

Well, some say that my voice is mezzo-forte thru forte when I speak normally. When I do the same while speaking on film, I sound very country/Southern-esque for some reason. If I speak quietly on film, I sound like I normally do. Some people say that my voice is very full and mellow most of the times, except when I'm yelling. Some people say that I have a low voice. Yes, I have noticed that it is a bit low, not "punk/gangster" low, but a "normal" low.

Basically, the way my voice sounds depends on what I'm doing whether I'm speaking normally, yelling, making SFX, etc. I'd love to put my voice on this site, but bleh, I'm too lazy and I don't know what to say.

Okay, now that I mentioned it, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY IF I PUT SOMETHING UP, ALL?

(To Deezer:) I know... I do sound pretty squeaky, as if someone was holding my nose shut. It annoys me, my voice sounded much more clear a year ago. But I am good at imitating Michael Jackson's voice very well. That was a nice commentry, though.

My voice is in the mid range, maybe slightly higher than average. When I'm bored or tired, calm, etc... it's sorta low pitched, however, if I'm agitated or yelling or something, it gets a bit higher. Basically, my voice has a wide variety of sounds.

So people do enjoy my odd sounding voice.

I'm trying to make another version of the Song of Storms, recording it with my voice doing different melodies of the song, so when you hear it, you can hear me singing all the different parts of the song (melody, background) at the same time.

A short clip I created this morning, based from MB's post in the "Classic quotes from forum members" topic. All voices are my own, although most were just distorted with Adaptec Sound Editor (the sound pitches were mixed around). Deezer's voice I couldn't completely imitate through the distortions (which is heard in this clip deeper than my own voice), but Vid's I could closely imitate by setting the sound's pitch higher than mine. Markio's voice, I have no idea what it sounds like, so I left his single line alone.

Ahahah, ne89 came up with the same idea I did a while ago: sound files of #tmk chat logs. I think I only told my idea to Chup and/or LD though... Anyway, I wanted to do something where we took a small chunk of chat, and each person would record their part, line-by-line, as the sound file got passed around. Of course this would take a lot of effort and probably not sound all that great in the end with everyone's different microphone qualities and such.

Just when you thought the fun would end, a ton more voice things! Hilarious! And, lo and behold, I made myself sound like a magical elf! And, bonus features!

I'm a magical elf!

We're so sorry about that.

Pretty funny. If you like a certain small section of this...

Look no further! I thought it was amusing.

Note: Vidgmchtr asks nicely for no Mac bashing or PC Bashing (which is rare in a place like this).

If only I had fancy-shmancy voice-to-PC-sound sotware crap like you guys. And a place to host it. But you probably don't want to hear it. You risk your sanity, and your loved ones' sanity, assuming they love you after you have downloaded such a hypothetical sound clip of what I sound like that would cause said loss of said sanity in said loved ones, who's love of you might change after said sanity loss in said ones, who previously loved you, assuming you downloaded said hypothetical clip, which really wouldn't make you crazy, because I sound quite normal, really, meaning that you didn't really have to read this super-long sentence which is made long because I'm feeling crappy and cynical about not having a microphone or voice software or a place to host the sound clip, which, by the way, will make you lose your sanity, but not really.

Lizard Dude is the coolest staff member I have. I'm going to give him a raise because his updates are so frequent, and packed with quality. Furthermore, in honor of his greatness, I am going to slow down work on TMK and VGJam to create a new website: The Lizard Dude Kingdom Jam. My voice...it is so...sultry...mamma...mia...

I sound like a slightly deeper version of Jan Löchel.

Most of you probably are not familiar with Jan Löchel unless you live in Germany. He was with the group "4 Strings" but didn't have much time as a vocalist there, mostly performing instrumentally. Last year he recorded "Believe in Me" and a new version of "Let U Go" with ATB, this time as a vocalist.

If you're into trance, dance, house, techno, or Euro-pop, I'd highly recommend both ATB and 4 Strings.

I don't know how to record my voice and put it on the computer, so I'll describe it. I guess it can be described as plain, Like any other 14-year-old male's voice. I can also change my voice and modify it, and I'm good at copying other people's voices. I can also sound like Patrick Warburton, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, and most of the characters from Homestar Runner at will.

I can do that too, somewhat.  I try and imitate classic cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, but I don't have it like I used to.  I'm better at HSR characters.

My voice is like a really low monotone. You would never want to hear me talk. I could go down Into the Great Beyond (My Basement) to get my old microphone  but that would be a waste of time.

[offtopic]I remeber when I recorded my voice and sped it up 100% making my voice really sqeaky, and then I made an entire saga of sound clips which I called "sqqirrel stories" It was awsome.[offtopic\]

Acctually I think I will go down there and get that microphone after all.

goodie's voice is outstandingly standard. It sounds like the kind of guy who reads sentences for audio English language lessons (before the evil chipmunk portion).

I'm wearing the green tie. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4eLBucscyQ)

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, I have no idea who Hank Hill is, just in case that comes up later in the conversation...

Barbershop quartets are one of the greatest things you can do with your life.

My voice is kinda of monotone... but when being recorded on camera I almost don't even recognize myself; it sounds a lot weirder!

Anyway, I'll record my voice once I can snag the microphone, oh yeah, and I can do Hank Hill's (King of the Hill, people, come on) extraordinarily well... or maybe I sound more like Tom Anderson from Beavis and Butthead (same voice, more senile sounding though), oh yeah, speaking of which I can do Butthead's laugh very well too.... ugh gotta work up the lungs over here.

Necro

I'd share my YouTube vid where I talk about a weird looking CD-i controller, but there's some strong language in a few parts.

I'm going to be on the radio between 4 and 5 today, and other Mondays until summer, and I'll probably be talking a bit between the songs. Supposedly you can listen to me here (http://www.messiah.edu/wvmm/listen.html) with Internet Explorer, though I haven't been able to get it to work.

This is better and shorter than the last one.

At TEM's request, I recorded a few greetings.

I'd like to add a file, but it needs to be smaller and Vista's sound recorder is a piece of crap. Coming soon!

Why is this in Fan Creations?

Somebody should create a thread specifically for people to post themselves singing.

I currently plan on posting at least one video a week of me singing starting in the fall.

And now, a bump for the ages and shameless plug for one of the many ways I trick Japanese gamers into teaching me their language.

This little Skyrim project from last April, "This is Alchemy," was both a marketing ploy and a way to vent irritation at what I thought was a poorly written and poorly sung, "This is Aperture," which made a splash a while back. I'm not going to say I'm better at singing, but the parody lyrics were just miserable in their content and rhythm. But enough griping.

I'm afraid you'll have to follow the link for English subtitles. The rest of the video is a demonstration for a bug in Skyrim. It's essentially a cheat, so be warned.

I completely forgot about these plans. Maybe that's a good thing?

I might post more singing at some point, though (in addition to the EP I put out last year (http://themushroomkingdom.net/board/index.php?topic=13879.msg595978#msg595978) (oh, hey, I still didn't do those songs for TEM, did I?)).

Finding out what I sound like is quite simple, really. Go to the page where I upload sound for my Reddit novelty account: http://soundcloud.com/recordsyourcomments

Although that's a bit deeper than I usually talk.

haha yep.

Funny; in the midst of impressions and vocal exaggerations, I can do a pretty good Donald Duck, but apparently everyone thought it was annoying, so I haven't done it extensively in a while...

I do three things:

- Normal voice
- Hank Hill/Tom Anderson impression
- Mario impression

They're decent.

Not what I sound like normally, obviously, but this is a music (?) made of an impression of SeaNanners I did (with a bonus at the end). I thought it sounded pretty funny.
