Mario Kart DS and the soon-to-be-released Mario Hoops 3on3.
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

There are fangames, but they're a mixed bag. They can be great or aweful.

Nintendo should make a PC-only (okay, maybe PC/Wii) Mario MMO. As long as the emphasis is on platforming and it doesn't end up like crap like Toontown Online, it would be great.

As for existing Mario Flash games, for example, you can look on Newgrounds. just be prepared.

I love the idea of a Mario MMO. I think it definitely has potential. But how to keep the game at least a little tied to it's roots?

They could give you different races of characters to choose from (Koopa, Toad, Yoshi, cartoony human, ect...), and let you stomp, eat, or spit fire at other players, for coins or something.

I'm thinking an online version of Mario Party would be good, then they could release expansion sets every year instead of having to churn out whole sequels.
