Title: Worst dates ever!
Post by: neotev on January 08, 2008, 05:18:48 PM
Describe to me a date you went on that just toke a turn for the worst. I went on a date with a girl recently who brought her boyfriend with her and paid no attention to me whatsoever. They held hands and stuff all with me sitting right there. It was terrible. Once again post if you would like. Oh and please tell me if my topics are becoming annoying. I definitely dont want to be a nuisance

Personally, I wouldn't go on a date with a girl that already has a boyfriend. If they have a boyfriend, there's a good chance they'll want him to come along...

Here are some tips on dating!

-Ask her on a date, set a time, then pick her up and turn to her and go "So where are we going?"

-Get to the movies, go up to the ticket box and say "One please." and buy your ticket. After you get it, begin to walk in, turn and say "Aren't you coming?"

-Eat your pasta dinner with your hands

-After dinner when the check is brought, hand it to her and say "I was last time. This one's all you". Then take her mint.

-When talking to a girl, say "What are you doing tonight? Nothing? Cool. Can you ask your sister if she wants to go out with me?"

My actual worst dates ever are not interesting but for a story I'll cite this oldie but goodie (http://themushroomkingdom.net/board/index.php?topic=4935.msg316440#msg316440).

I don't even see how this could be considered a "date."

That had me laughing out loud.

I personally have never been on a date. I don't think I've been on one resembling one, either.

It's a myth, I tell ya!

And, yes, LOL-worthy dating tale there, LD (unless, of course, you're bitter about it, in which case...)

The first date I went on with my girlfriend was to see a movie (Beowulf, maybe?). Anyway, I had a sudden case of volcanic diarhhea and had to spend half the movie in the bathroom. Not exactly romantic.

Anyway, I've not been on any dates, myself.

I heard Beowulf was one of the worst movies in the history of movies, second only to The Peanut Butter Solution. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Peanut_Butter_Solution)

Source: my friend who saw both movies.

Haven't been on a date yet, but one time one of my friend's kept calling me during his date asking for help. By the third time he called, I told him to screw off and disconnected my phone. Later, my parents were pretty mad that I disconnected the phone because they could've missed an important call.

Beowulf was good, BUT only if you see it in a 3-D theater.  It was designed for that, not regular viewing.

I dont know. I read the book and it was pretty gorey, so I chose not to see it expecting the movie to be worse. But thats just me.

The movie rewrote major portions of the story.  It was still somewhat gory.

I forgot a quality dating tip!

-Now that you've followed my perfect tips on dating, you're engaged! Fast forward to the Day You Get Married. That night, while you're Getting Ready For Bed, say something like "Wow, big day, huh?" Then, get in bed, get under the covers, turn off the light, roll over and say "Well, goodnight!" and go to sleep.

I too have yet to go on an actual date, but the closest I've come to one was about a year ago when I was home from college on a break, and a good friend of mine who happens to be a female, whom at the time I had not thought about dating because she's a vegetarian, was also home, and she suggested that we meet at Pizza Hut. Once we got there, everything went pretty much perfectly until her sister and friend come in and sit down with us. Since it wasn't really a date, it wouldn't be all that bad, except that the friend was the girl I'd had a crush on since at least 10th grade, and who goes to the same college as me, and whom I had been trying for years to work up enough courage to ask out. Awkward. (Incidentally, several months later when I did ask her out, her response was "Sorry, I'm going with my boyfriend." She said it more politely than that, but after four years of buildup, there's no way for that not to hurt.) Since I'm too introverted, that's as interesting as the story gets.

I'm pretty crappy when it comes to asking out the lady types. In fact, I had to be asked out by my girlfriend, which came as a surprise to me, since I was going to do the same roughly that week (or, I intended to, likely to chicken out later).
