Title: Bob Hoskins (1942-2014)

He passed away at the age of 71 due to the ravages of Parkinson's disease.

He'll likely be best remembered as Eddie Valiant from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, but I'll personally remember him as Mario Mario, a role he despised but nevertheless handled with aplomb.

Rest in peace, plumber. :(

Truly a sad day... I'll confess those are the only films of his I've seen, but Roger Rabbit is a classic, and I'll still stick up for him as Mario despite everything else that was a mess about that movie.

Indeed, he was everything I could have asked for in a live-action Mario. Likewise, his performance in Hook was among the film's... least-offending elements.

R.I.P., etc.

How have I never noticed this thread until now..

I don't have anything terribly heartwarming to say. I've loved him in every film I saw him in (which wasn't very many.. Just Roger Rabbit, Hook and SMB the Movie..)

He will be missed.
