Yoshi's Safari?

What is Yoshi's Safari?  I know that it is a first person shooter, but how could this be?  I was under the impression that Mario games (besides SSBM) were always appropriate for almost all ages.

It is a shooter,but the only things you shoot are Goombaas,Paratroopas,and other enemies from Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3.  And when the Koopa and Gumbas are hit,they just turn over and fall down as if you had hit them with a Fire Ball in Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros.  Don't always judge a Game by category.
