Video Game Chat / Re: Sometimes Nintendo makes no sense...

Stop complaining that Nintendo is somehow at fault for "making you rebuy your games" if you want to go spend $170 on a system you already have because it comes in a different color.

And last time I checked, taking computer science classes has no bearing on whether or not you know anything about programming DRM on a proprietary video game platform.

You're oblivious. I have my own reason for wanting to buy a new DSi, but as I stated, but you fail to acknoweldge, is that we're talking about portable systems which are far easier to lose/break. Bare in mind, Nintendo is still a family company as a whole. There's dozens of realistic reasons for one to want to get a duplicate system.

And like I keep saying, this topic isn't just about DSi downloads. But apparently your rampant fanboyism prevents you from detaching yourself from a debate you're capable of winning.

I stand on the ground that the comparison itself is unneeded and was a stupid idea. I think metroid Prime Trilogy is one of the great games to come out in a long time, but the comparison was just plain silly.

Nice job quoting out of context, ShadowBrain. What the hell happened, did everyone on earth suddenly forget what the world "regardless" means?

Blackmage likens Bill O'reilly to God. That in itself deserves a strike.

Sapphira would probably be his superbest friend forever if he said that, not strike him.

I also noticed one of those "ghost" orbs is in the picture. Normally I wouldn't care, but I think it's funny considering my grandmother told me she'd come back to haunt me some day, and that this bedroom used to be her old bedroom before she died.

Yeah, I know nothing about programming, which is why I've already taken several computer science courses in the past four years. Way to go, Captain Assumption.

Regardless of what possible solution there would be, the point I originally made  was that Nintendo should have included such a feature to begin with. Afterall, the original topic of this thread was Nintendo making stupid decisions, i.e. "lets not give any features to make DSi downloads transferrable." or "let's construct a broken online system which kills any motive to play online to begin with." I don't know why you diverted it into DSi and PSP differences, even if I was wrong about those. Apparently I don't know anything about programming, but at least I know how to argue correctly.

Really? Says who? I beat the game prior to making the thread. Where did I say I didn't play it?

Not at the Dinner Table / Re: Obama wins a Nobel Peace Prize

LD is right, the Nobel Peace Prize was never worth jack [dukar].

My favorite part about this story though is that the nomination deadline was February 1st. So they all nominated him a week after he was sworn in. I mean, if you really like Obama and really think he's done a good job reaching out to the rest of the world, then yeah you could sorta make a case for him winning by saying "Wow! Look at all the great things he's done in his first 8 months!". But one week into his term, he had done nothing besides say he plans on closing Guantanamo. Really. That's all they had to base his nomination off of. I just wish we knew what justification there was for nominating him in the first place, other than the rest of the world has a crush on him.

I dunno, Brawl's online is to the point where one's skill has no factor on who will win, whatsoever. Saying you would do better in Brawl is like being mugged by a man with a gun and then telling him you'd be mugging him if you had your own gun. You can't compare it to the greatness that is Street Fighter II.

I came in 3rd at a tournament at my school, which is an accomplishment considering that university is infamous for having a higher population of asian students than white. That was months and months ago though. I tried playing against them yesterday and lost miserably.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong. I think the PSP Go is stupid in every single way possible. I'm just saying there's a bigger difference between it and the PSP 3000 than the DSi is from the DS lite.

Deku Scrubs fight hard for their dignity. Now's not the time to take jabs at them as well.

That's one of my most prized Game & Watches, Spitball Sparky. It's somewhat rare since it was one of only three color Game & Watches. I keep it in there since it was starting to collect a lot of dust from sitting on top of everything.

I dunno, didn't the argument originally occur because people thought I was implying I thought the game was amazing simply because of its high reviews.
