Mario Kart Double Dash! hasn't really been thought about.
In Mario Kart 64 we had three classes,Light,Middle and Heavy Class.
Now,in Mario Kart Double Dash! we have TWO people in a Kart.
They're messed.
Eg:Bowser and Bowser Jr.
Bowser is Heavy,Bowser Jr. is Light.
What Class!?

They don't have those classes in Mario Kart, because you are encouraged to steal items from another character when you bump into them.

So everyone weighs the same!?
It's not realistic!
I'm thinking whoevers the heaviest will make the class.
Like Mario and Bowser in a Kart.
It would be considered Heavy because Bowser weighs more than Mario.
Do you think it'll work like that?

I think we should aim for a sociaital structure without classes.

No. Spiky Blue Shell is a much older member than you.
I thought they were gonna weigh different depending on who you have in the kart.
Darn. Just another mess o’ Chocolate Pan Dowdy.

Is it even more helpful in getting the person in First Place or something?
Will it fly over the track or something?

The winged shell is the new spikey blue shell. It flies over the course, so that it's not restrained by walls.
And I don't know what the whole deal is behind item stealing, but if you hit another kart hard enough to knock the back player over, he/she will drop any items in order to get a better grip on the kart. The items fall to the track, and are effective there. Things like shells and banana peels become obstacles, and things like stars and mushrooms become instant powerups.

Thanks Fifth for clearing up the Spiky Shell.
In Mario Kart 64 the Spiky Shell hit walls and conked out.
It was really annoying....

Hey, there is still Kart-Class. You don't choose it by character, you actually chose the style of kart seperately.
