For all those people who did not belive me this is what I say too them HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA There were wrong, mario 128 is on the fabled DS plus games such as super mario 64X4, mario kart DS, and wario ware DS... here's the info and pictures...

In WarioWare Inc. DS Wario runs around causing havoc on the top screen and drops boxes onto the bottom screen, which turn into mini games. You can use the stylus or your fingers to play the mini games, which will take full advantage of the Nintendo DS’s features.
Super Mario 64x4 is like a four player version of Mario 64 from the Nintendo 64. In this game all four players compete to get stars. The two screens are divided into a map and a gaming screen. The touch screen allows players to touch the screen and the camera will move to the other player.
The other two games were not commented on but have screenshots on the link I posted above. I shall post again when more info (or pictures" is avalible

No, you're still wrong. It's called something like "The New Super Mario Bros." not Super Mario 128.

Aww.. maybe it's not called mario 128 exactly but there is much more then evidence then it clearly is:
1.The statment about mario bros. DS being mario 128 that I posted last month.
2. just because it's not called mario 128 does not mean it's the new mario game that's been in develepmont for 4 years. In an interveiw in 2000 (if you can remember) with the presedent of nintendo of japan (I forgot his name) said "later on in the next few years we will make a new portable system that will be marketed seperatly from the game boy advance" also as you can remember each game goes through a name fase for example... paper mario was mario rpg 2 them mario adventure then mario journey.
3. as you can see the game obviously uses the 3d charecters in a 2d enviroment.

They already announced that Super Mario 128 would be on a home console, not a portable system, therefore The NEW Super Mario Bros. cannot be what they've been going on about for so long.

Have you ever noticed that on the N64 SO many games had "64" in the title. But apparently nobody thought "128" sounded good in a game title. And maybe it's because it isn't called the Nintendo 128, but then again, how many Gamecube games have "Cube" in the title? (The same idea applies to GameBoy Color/Advance games)

And if I remember, the rumors you posted said they'd be 2-D characters in 3-D environment.
I highly doubt this little DS game would've taken them 4 years to complete.
