Haven't tried yet. My Wiimote's batteries are dead.

Why are they giving these out free/with Wii now? I think it's just a case of imbeciles somehow getting past the thickened remote straps to destroy their TV.

You know the people aren't even using the straps when they say they broke.
That was a joke.

ShadowBrain, they're only giving them free to those who purchased Wii consoles before these new jackets. All Wii consoles now have these packaged in. And they created them because people were constantly dropping and/or damaging their Wii remotes.

How much of a drop does it take? cause my orignal wii remote jerks a little across the screen and it's noticable when other controls are on it running smoothly. It took on a 4-3 foot drop onto the carpet and was smacked against a coffee table by my "nephew".

You think it might just be some interference with the sensor (another light source nearby, perhaps)?

Yeah, jerkiness sounds more like you're sitting

A) Too close
B) Too far
C) Too left
D) Too right
E) Too high
F) Too low

to the television set. Tell your "nephew" to move.

No light source problems, as I stated, other controls at the same time do not do this and in different corresponding areas. I've adjusted the sensitivity but that does not seem to help.

Finally just got the notification that mine had been shipped.
I did get to try them at E4A, and they're nice, especially for sideways gripping since they replace the hard edges with a soft, round covering.

I have yet to receive this email saying that it has been shipped. ;|
Checked on Nintendo.com, it's still processing.

I just got my e-mail yesterday...like three days after they had already came in the mail.

I order mine (twice due to 404) early on the morning I got the Wii-mail message about them from Nintendo, but still no confirmation of shipment.

I put one of my Wiimotes in a clear case and installed glovepie at school today.

That's basically what I just said.

Good lord, people... if so many geriatrics, babies and middle-aged moms are alledgely playing the Wii, why do we need a thicker wrist strap and a jacket now? Why don't we just glue it to their hands and write a note saying, "HOLD ONTO IT, RETARD!"

...I don't even see how there's enough decent games on the Wii to justify someone playing it fervently enough to destroy things. Maybe they just threw their remote against the wall when they heard that SSBB was delayed...
