On his keynote today at GDC 2006 Iwata showed off a video of a new Zelda game for Nintendo DS:

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

It uses a 2D-Celshading engine and features a lot of utilization of the touchscreen.
It will ship in 2006.

Aw man, I was thinking this year I wouldn't use all my money for new video games, but this is way too tempting.
I'm a horrible person.

Not for me. I'm not planning on getting it. Maybe a rent at least.

EDIT: Only half of my post was posted for some reason.

Um...then what was the purpose of even posting here, Aarom?

But, that is great! I was hoping Nintendo was take a step away from the Four Swords style for the DS game.

Hmm. There's too much for the DS coming out... NSMB is definitely on the list, I may have to pass on Tetris DS, which I didn't really go crazy for on the day it came out.

Aw, man. I just watched the video and it doesn't look NEARLY as good as Twilight Princess. It looks good... but I wouldnt beg my mom to take me to buy it on the release day.
Edit: And it's not about the graphics. The graphics look bettter than what I thought the DS could do.
