Because internet predators can so get you by knowing your age. OOoOooOooOoo
Seriously, predators "hang out" at places like MySpace, where kids just put all this information about themselves out on display for people. Video game message boards? Unlikely. Too obscure and too much of a "challenge." Regardless, nothing can happen just from telling someone your age.

Anyway, I'm 19.7.
Personally, I think having birthdates is much more effective than knowing ages, since ages change; birthdates are constant. Also, it's easy enough to just check people's profiles and the calendar.

Besides, predators want to kill attractive and popular kids that everyone on earth would be in an uproar about, not stupid fatties who love to play withn their easy-bake ovens. We're perfectly safe.

I was gonna say, predators can't do much to us if they only know our age.

I would assume, however, the near exact birthday of you can be determined with the ".7" part of you age. Just multiply 365x.7, and then that is how many days it has been since your birthday... from there, do the rest of the math.

Pardon me for asking, but did I start some sort of trend with the decimal point?

Looks like people have used them for quite a while.

Uhh, 1) Suffix used a decimal in his age before you did:
16.9
2) I would've put a decimal, regardless if anyone else had. I'm big on including "extra months" of one's life, like "[age] and a half" or "almost [year older]". Giving a decimal is more precise and less "lame"-sounding/looking.

I handed the assignment in a week ago, so I don't need anymore ages.
