Forum Games / Re: 10 Hour Yourtubes
« on: June 02, 2011, 10:05:49 PM »
I used to think this thread was awesome but if it's just going to be a bunch of 10 hour versions of 5 second memes then pffff.

[dukar]ty memes if any.
Here's a 478 hour video (that will eat your soul).

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7aF_FhALzs" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7aF_FhALzs</a>.

I'm really impressed on so many levels that someone pulled off such a long video. Watched about 46 minutes where I quickly lost interest.

Video Game Chat / Interview with Soyo Oka
« on: April 10, 2011, 08:40:06 PM »
Found this interesting. The composer for many Nintendo from 1987 to 1995 shares some in depth information regarding past experiences with Nintendo as well as her musical influences and such with Dave (blitzlunar);

"Continuing our interview series with veteran composers of GE-ON-DAN, Soyo Oka gives her most extensive interview to date. She initially discusses her journey from child pianist to Nintendo composer, before recollecting how she integrated 'Soyoisms' on to titles such as Yuyuki and Super Mario Kart for the company. Finally, the artist discusses her various freelance works and recent return to game music, with several arranged albums and a newly released DS title."

Saturday, I made a quick message on #tmk telling everyone that I have my Gamecube Service Disk complete with tons of Mario references, Mario music remixes and so much more. The only problem being is that I need an older model Gamecube to use the Service Disk since Nintendo didn't want the few people that there were to service Gamecubes for customers, so they made a revision disabling this feature from being used on the newest models. I have ripped the ISO off of the disk and I found tons of neat things in it including music, pictures and other things I'm not sure of until i can actually get it running on a Gamecube.

Also, I now have a paying job for adding descriptions at an online Famicom/old gaming electronics store.

General Chat / Re: Wacko dreams
« on: January 31, 2011, 08:18:20 PM »
Last night I dreamed that I invented a Time Machine, but I soon re-discovered after losing several pieces of mathematics and electric schematics I needed some diamonds to run it, but I had no money for diamond-based fuel, so I wound up selling the time machine for billions to a crazy scientist downtown. That was the dream minus some not-so lame details.

....Are you seriously trying to claim Chowder had subliminal messages? Seriously?

I know I have, for sure on some episode where the characters were rolling in some kind of purple ball rolling down a street and later on in that episode, a girl said to her boyfriend "let's go inside" and I swear that they were going to do it with that situation. It's been about two and a half years since I saw this episode, so it may be two separate episodes.

Ben Ten, also a fellatio comment in it that my brother noticed and brought to all of our attention, which was somewhat awkward hearing, not only that, but our mailman was also right outside of our house at the time when he repeated what was said in the cartoon.

I'm not making any of these up and I'm willing to swear on that.

Um... I know for sure I said this earlier, but I'll reiterate in case: what part of me not finishing my explanation on how I feel that the different emphasis on the innuendos between shows like Chowder (discrete and pseudo-subliminal) and Ren & Stimpy (blatantly noticeable) have different effects on an individual's growing mind don't you understand? It wasn't meant to be hypocrisy in any form, I was aiming towards the line of comparative; between the times [standards] and age-groups.
