I was playing SSBB and something weird happened;

During a wi-fi battle on Yoshi's Island, the match comes to an end, and I enter a sudden death match against someone playing as Toon Link. The Toon Link player does an obvious down+smash attack while in the air, and I (as Mario) block it by throwing up my power shield and then following up with an up+smash attack which sends Toon Link sailing skyward into obliteration.

It's a lot better when seen in action.

I saved the replay video, and reviewed it later and found that the replay instead shows Toon Link jumping over me, and doing the down+smash right off the stage. And as the announcer says "GAME!" I'm shown doing the up+smash attack moments after Toon Link exploded.

...What the [dukar]?

The replays record the button presses, not the video itself. So I'm thinking lag is somehow to blame. Unless you're using codes that change the physics of the game.
