Normally I'd assume that he's just the standard "hardcore gamer" who doesn't realize video games existed before the PS2 (you'd think the 2 in the name would clue them in), but his comment about cartridges shows that he doesn't know about the NGP either.

And since when is someone who "grew up on Halo" old enough to work for freakin' CNN? Have puberty already, kid. And get rid of that 8-bit version of "Barbie Girl" playing in the background. You've never seen an 8-bit console in your life.

Speaking of mass media grossly misrepresenting video games...

(As far as CNN goes, I'm still annoyed about the whole RapeLay thing a couple years back. Not because that game is any good - I haven't played it and never intend to - but because no one bats an eye at all the equally-awful western porn on Amazon and other sites, while a single Japanese title from an independent reseller ended up being so controversial that the company itself ended up discontinuing the game.)

To be fair, after googling Rapelay (don't recommend it), it's a game about raping two underage girls and their mother. I don't really think there's a real equivalent to that on Amazon. But then again, I didn't even know Amazon had porn.
