You can download ZZT at http://zzt.org .. however, I wouldn't recommend it, as ZZT games are too low-quality to even try to find.  Believe me, I've been programming with it for around 8 years.

For some real fun, try Megazeux, the next-generation version of ZZT.  There's still a lot of low quality stuff (including a little Mario game or two), but there are exceptions, like "Bernard the Bard" (quite possibly the best game I have ever played, period).

I'd give it a whirl if I were you.  I've been programming it for about 3 years now and I still enjoy it somewhat.  There are some great games out there.  Though I've never played a good Mario ZZT game...
