My computer is starting its standard third-year death spiral. Basically, there's a 40% I can get on the Internet at any given time, and adware popups and fake virus-protection messages constantly knock me out of games (they're obviously part of some sort of malware themselves, though I don't know what), and, bizarrely, the speakers occasionally play audio from various videos (apparently from BBC or something) without any input from me; the only fix is to log off and then back on.

I'm not sure if irony is the right word, but what caused this magazine to fold is (part of) the reason why I stopped getting Nintendo Power.

Also, what I wouldn't give for a Death Note sometimes...

I'm in a horrible mood now (in that especially horrible zone between anger and depression) since my computer is nigh-unusable due to viruses and my DS has been broken. And I lack the money to fix either.

Yeah, when that thing first came out, I had a hunch it wasn't exactly going to replace It's a Wonderful Life in the pantheon of classic Christmas films.

Couldn't you have your OS reinstalled or something?

I think that's either a joke or a hoax. No dictionary I've heard of defines f***er as a "slang word for chavs".

The thing that really grinds me ge-- I mean, my gears is the use of "Nintendo" before every "Scrabble," as if it were a first party game.

Wow. Just wow.

I'm very nervous. It's the big performance tomorrow and I hope that I don't screw up. I want to be the best mentor ever but, you know what they say, you are your worst critic. I believe that wholeheartedly. A very cheerful and peppy 15 year old comes off as very weird to them and my height continues to fascinate a few. I'm quite short.

Well, I figure someone would say "shortness" or something to that effect if they didn't mean "tall", but hey, that's just me.

Really short. I'm 5'0 and nearly all of them tower over me...except for the 6th graders.
