Author Topic: Question On Moderators, Admins, Etc.  (Read 8963 times)

I have a few questions on the mods and admins on the FFs.
FIrst of all, which members are mods, which are admins, and which are anything else.
Second, who issues CTs. I am just  curious at who created all the hype with CTs.
Thirdly, who makes members banned?
Forth thing, who changed display names?

That is all.

1) Admins: Deezer, Megabyte.
Global Mods: Chupperson, Lizard Dude, Sapphira, Watoad.
Regular Mods: Black Mage, Fifth, Insane Steve, Luigison, Suffix.

2-4) Admins and Global Mods.

Thanks.
Another question.
Can Global Mods give other mods and Admins CTs?
Can Admins and Global mods give themselves CTs?

Can Admins and Global mods give themselves CTs?
Yes.  So can regular mods.  I just changed mine.  As Sapphira said, I can't change other peoples CTs.

Ah man.
You guys have an unfair advantage.

And I wanted a CT that said "Not really a dude, or is he/she?"

Admins and Globals Mods can give anyone a CT, including each other, including themselves.

Unfair? We earned these "powers" from being responsible.

Ah.

I'm just saying 'unfair' because newcomers like myself (to some extent) have a long road ahead themselves to reach that point of where they can wake up in the morning and say "I'm a mod" without a doubt.

Ah well.
This topic has served its purpose.
Farewell, my bold topic.

I wake up every morning, breathe a deep breath of fresh mountain air, and say to myself, "I'm a mod, without a doubt." And it feels goooooood.

By the way, I didn't earn my powers by being responsible. I earned them quickly and dangerously, through the dark side of the Force. I recommend you do the same, if you ever hope to achieve true power.

Long road before they become a mod? Are you implying every new member eventually becomes a mod? Not true. Not even in my dreams have I ever been, or will I ever become a mod. That is, unless you make your own forum. Then you can wake up, smell the stale chips and flat soda from the previous night, and say, "I am an admin, and you will bow down before me." I can do that. It feels fine, I guess.

Its like, in terms of what LD had to say, being a Jedi.

Not all becomes one, but to be one, a road is ahead. Full of snakes, bugs, and old ladies who are really the tounge of a predatory fish who attract other fish by giving them free ice cream.

Anyway, LD, you are really living the big life.

A few more questions.

Who merges, deletes, and stickies topics?

Also, on further note, why can't someone delete topics from 4 years ago that nobody liked, read, or isjust too old, and reviive the good ones?

I think regular mods and up can do those things.

Someone can delete them, just not regular members. Creators of topics lost deletion and locking privileges because of poor choices many have made. There's no reason to delete a topic unless it's something like porn, or it's a "double post" topic--which doesn't happen anymore thanks to the posting delay time. Anyone can revive old topics; it's just frowned upon if the post is virtuously useless. Reviving is encouraged over creating a new topic that's identical.

This is why you think before you post. ;)
