Those are pretty interesting, I imagine people are hyped about the second.

Another costume, from the same guy.

I really really doubt they will be.
For what it's worth, there is a trophy of Larry in the Koopa Clown Car in the leak album.  Personally, I'm liking that MOTHER 1 gets some acknowledgement, even if Lucas apparently isn't returning.  Doctor Mario (Tornadoes forever), Duck Hunt and Bowser Jr. have me psyched, at least, in addition to those revealed already.

Definitely looking forward to the upcoming DLC; the score information and on-TV map are sounding pretty nice, and not having to move the cursor to advance to the next race will be nice as well.  Hopefully those unused cup icons / filenames mean that we will indeed be seeing some track DLC in the future; sixteen extra retro tracks would be pretty awesome.

So, apparently there's a transforming Paper Mario stage in the 3DS version now.  Hoping this is a sign of more representation to come.

Same here, although my 3DS seems to intensely dislike my internet connection, so I'll probably have to download it at work tomorrow; I've only managed 5% of intermittent download after ~1.5 hours.

My guess would be a lot of NES-era games only check to see if the lower eight bits of objects' positions match up (within a tile's width or such); doing so would effectively treat two objects that were 256 pixels apart vertically as being in the same location.  In the case of Super Mario Bros., I believe most objects are 'killed' once they fall two rows of blocks beneath the screen (i.e. 256 pixels from the top), however, checking just the lower eight bits means you can cause a collision to register by jumping just above the top of the screen.

If the character-select one's fake, you gotta admire the amount of effort that went into it; it even says "Mario Kart DLC Pack" in the reflection on the top of the TV.  The other one seemed pretty dang unlikely image aside (how on earth would Shine Runners work on full racetracks?)  In any case, if those characters are for real, I'm not disappointed by the selection, though I would wonder if there's anything more to it.

So I was opening my browser on New Year's Eve this past year while listening to the OneUps' cover of Booster Tower, and this popped up on the Google home page, syncing pretty much perfectly.

Probably Harhall saying something like "Isn't that so much fun you could dye?" in Superstar Saga.  Or anything Wario said in Mario Kart 64, either version, if we're including voice acting.

Spoiler-y reactions:
Smash Run is literally the best thing.  Some guys at undergrad introduced me to Air Ride, and this is certainly the sequel it deserves.  Everything else they announced aside, that alone's more than enough to warrant a day-one purchase.  Greninja seems like a bit of an odd character choice, especially being revealed this early, but if they were going to put in a gen-six Pokémon, I suppose he's probably the best fit.  Interesting that there're apparently going to be at least a few Namco-related items/assists (Galaga ships, Rally-X's Special Flag), judging by the photos released since the presentation; I wonder what the odds of a Namco fighter are.

Overall, I like most of the changes they've announced to the existing characters; I can't say there's anything that really struck me as being a step back.  Also, not that I feel he's terribly unlikely to return, I really want to see some Ness footage already (and Lucas would be even better, as I am a bit skeptical of his chances of returning).

On that note, it's funny how growing up with the Mario series, particularly the RPGs, shaped my perception of the relative size of player and non-player / support characters; most of the enemies in the Mario series tend to hover around half to two-thirds of Mario's height, and that's typically about how big I imagine most Pokémon (particularly the non-fully-evolved ones) are compared to the protagonist.  Similarly, I imagine most fully-evolved Pokémon, particularly those that know Fly/Surf, to be of a similar proportion to Yoshi's size compared to Mario.  Then ones like Dunsparce, Furret, and Dragonair end up completely surprising me.

I would think that it would've still taken way longer to get a Pokédoll to the top of Pokémon Tower without tossing it or using it in a standard encounter than it would to do the requisite sidequests, especially after the whole Eevee fiasco.  Also, pretty sure the Safari Zone would end the run long before Route 22's already nigh-impossible ledge and Victory Road.

On an unrelated note, this.  I blame BP for misinforming me on Furret's "official" height.

Yeah, I'd definitely be for a Kalos-starters Pokémon Trainer; I like all three lines at least as much as the Kanto ones.  I'm curious as to who if anyone will be revealed in tomorrow's Nintendo Direct...

Well, apparently the Bank does have some form or another of legitimacy checking on legendary Pokémon; it wouldn't let me port up the Shaymin I glitched to in Diamond.

At this point, I've already completed the National Dex from GTS and normal availability, so I don't have much use for it anyway.  Now that I have the Shiny Charm, I've recently been trying to breed a Shiny high-IV Technician Breloom for fun, but not much luck so far.  I did get a couple of shinies really early, but the first was before I realized that Bullet Seed wasn't in its normal moveset (which is pretty dang important a move to miss on an attack-centered Technician set), and the second one had something like a 10 for its Attack IV.

EDIT: On that note, if anyone wants a 5-IV Adamant Technician Breloom, I can give 'em out for whatever.
