From time to time I see a Mario sprite. From time to time, I check to see where it's from. Nine out of ten times, it's linked from here!
Can you spot the hot (link)?
Have you ever thought about doing something?
-
I don't get it.
Johnny thought he was a chemist, but dosen''t any more,
What he thought was H2O was H2SO4!
-
He's saying people are hotlinking images from TMK and using up Deezer's bandwidth.
-
Found it. It's this image:

It is being used 17 times.

We don't pay for bandwidth, so hotlinking something like that doesn't bother us so much. When people rip our content without permission and claim it as their own, then we get upset.
-
Like how Yoshilore has the whole "Tetris A-Hack: From Panel de Pon to Tetris Attack" special and doesn't give you guys credit?
-

Yeah, that's what I thought :/
Could you give some examples of stolen, original content? Do you mean people copying image files of scans and whatnot?

Woah, I didn't even think of that one! There's actually a lot more too...
-
Ohhh, now that I scrolled down, I saw all of that. Heh. I didn't notice any of the images the first time around.
-
An example of stolen content is what Vidgmchtr mentioned: Yoshi Lore's Paneru De Pon that is a slightly plagiarized and mostly copied version of TMK's Tetris "A-Hack": From Paneru De Pon to Tetris Attack.
That was a good find, Vid or whoever originally found it. It's pretty darn shameless for a site as nice-looking as Yoshi Lore (I've never heard of it before, but I think it has a nice look to it).
Interestingly, when I was checking into the above, I accidently ran into TMK's "This is not the secret page."

I see. Would it be okay if they cited? Or, would you rather they just not have the article at all?
Being #1 has it's downsides, I suppose.
-
Yes, I was the one who found it. I even said it in #tmk a few months ago. No one [from Yoshi Lore] took action for some reason, though.
And I agree, it is a nice website. It's sad that they took stuff from TMK and didn't even give TMK credit.

Eek! Edited by Deezer.
-
Um, thanks for telling us. I had no idea that Deezer could edit....ever.... not in a million years....nope.... no clue.
-
Hey, thanks for the sarcastic remark! I had no idea people over the internet were clever.
-
For clarification, my remark about Deezer editing the post was meant to convey surprise that he would--not that he can. I believe Deezer added the phrase in brackets. If so, I don't understand why he wouldn't just reply with the correction rather than edit it into someone's mouth. It just seems meddlesome.
-
Heh. Oh well. It was edited. I'm pretty much fine with that. I'm pretty sure I won't go insane.
-
Yeah, you're right. I guess I was just makin' a big deal...
-
According to Deezer's sense of humor, editing the post was a better and funnier way to convey the message. According to my sense of humor, Deezer was right.
