This is the thread to curse those massive square ads that are now appearing at the top of the pages.

Cintic, the best new downloads?  More like "Cintic, the best way to annoy you".  OK, I got nothing.

Yes those are quite annoying indeed. I saw them and I was like "Dude" (not Lizard Dude)"This is wack" And so I was mad about them. Now I can tell everyone. I guess they're going to be there, so we'll have to deal with `em.

That's wierd... They're not there when I'm here... Must be the antivirus security junk.

One page I was looking at had THREE of those 640x480 Marines ads.  These ads do not comply with Gamespy's specifications.  While I do not have a problem with occasional ads since they are hosting us, if ads like these continue, I will disable their scripts...

WE are the "Anti-Massive Tumorlike Ad Coalition". Massive ads are our enemy. And MegaByte is our warrior, with his script disabling powers.

Okay, this is more than ridiculous.  I just got a pop-in (as in DHTML, not a new window) ad that was 1280 x 1024.  This must end.

I'm seriously tired of seeing a sweaty black guy doing pushups at the top of almost every page.
200 characters and nothing to say.

The only ads I experience are the normal ones that have always been appearing at the top of the screen, and I find that "Cheater" one especially annoying...

Oh, and I've never had to worry about pop-ups after I got Safari, because Safari blocks them.

I use FireFox, which blocks popups.  These are not popups, which is why I specifically said they weren't.  You will see them eventually because no browser currently blocks them since they aren't detectable unless your browser doesn't support DHTML very well or you have Javascript turned off completely.  As for the ones on the tops of pages, those are just Flash, so you'll see those too, eventually.

No ads. At all.

The funny thing is, the blue on the Marines ads is the exact same shade that I used on the background stripe. So they blend in pretty well. As much as a HUGE FREAKIN' AD can blend in, that is.

I used to get those often, but luckily(?)  my Javascript is screwed up.

Yeah, I didn't experience them until yesterday. Seems that they've stopped, though...
