Video Game Chat / Re: The "Wiimake" Epidemic

Did you not like that tutorial sequence? I didn't think it was too bad. Though I do have a soft spot for Wind Waker, maybe my nostalgia overrides my memory.

Speaking of "Wiimakes", what do you guys think of the Deus Ex port? I think it could be very cool. However, I've already played through the game twice, and I have plenty of other games to play, so I'm not sure if I really want to get it on Wii U and play it again.

Site Discussion / WTMK bump songs
« on: March 26, 2013, 05:46:38 PM »
Now that I can make a new topic, I wanted to ask:

I listen to WTMK (and other game music stations) all the time in my car via TuneIn. I have a couple questions about the bumps on Radio Mario.

There's one bump about reporting poor audio quality and in the background, it plays a warped version of a Yoshi's Island song in the background.  I really like it for some reason and I want to listen to the song. I can't remember, is it actually from the game, or is it a remix? I thought it might be from the Fuzzies level, but I looked on YouTube, but that didn't seem to be it. Can anyone tell me where it's from?

The other question is about the bump they play which is basically an ad to check out Radio Hyrule. In the background, they play a sort of jazzed up/big band version of the main Zelda theme. I know I've heard it several times before, but I can't remember where it's from. Does anyone know?

Thanks

Yeah, that's what I mean. There's no option that corresponds to what I did, which is leave the Wii hooked up as is,and also hook up my Wii U to the same TV.

But the only "interesting" thing is whether or not you do (6/2) * (1+2) or 6/(2*(1+2)). Which again, is just some boring syntactical thing, not really anything regarding mathematical understanding.

Why is there no 'keep it' option? I now have my NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Xbox, PS2, 360, Wii, PS3, and Wii U all hooked up to the same TV. The only other console I have that isn't hooked up is a Japanese N64 with 64DD.

I still have unfinished Wii games, and I would rather just play them on the Wii rather than trying to transfer data and stuff to the Wii U.

This isn't really that interesting as I'm assuming everyone here can multiply, add and divide numbers under ten. This is just a test to see whether someone remembers a particular syntax for operation precedence, which mathematicians probably don't care about. It's better to just use parenthese to avoid misinterpretations/mistakes.

I was very happy about the WW remake announcement. I love that game, and I definitely am glad to see we'll have a way to play it in 16:9. The game is the most gorgeous Zelda.

I know they're not going to, but I really wish Nintendo would also go through the game and redo the textures, and even add new special effects to make everything in the game look cel-shaded, not just the characters and some objects. If you'll remember, the environmental textures are cartoony, but they don't have cel-shading effects applied to them. In the new screenshots, it looks like they've increased the texture resolutions, but it doesn't look like additional special effects are being applied.

Anyways, I'm happy to see it again, and I really hope a whole bunch of people who have never played the game before play it.

Judging by the threads I found detailing a Mario timeline and everything, I may get flamed for this, but when have the stories for Mario games ever made sense, lol? I love the games just the same.

Is it wierd that I'm that interested in the game because the 3DS only has one analog pad?

I guess I don't have permission to create a new topic (or I'm too stupid to find the button), so I'll just ask here.

Latest News / Re: NOA May Reprint Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii

If they do rerelease, SMW's not likely to be included, as the most likely reason it wasn't included in the first place (besides loss of VC sales) is that the Spin Jump really has no appropriate button to be mapped to on the Wiimote.

No, the reason SMW was not included is because Nintendo was being super cheap and they just slapped the original SNES release of SMAS onto a Wii disc. They put no effort into the game at all, though the box is nice.
