To further those sessions between gaming, TMKblog will be providing you with Weekend Movie. These posts will highlight a video the blogger felt worthy of sharing. If you come across a video, or videos, feel free to submit it!
Last weekend, I asked for everyone's opinion about this feature. Very few replied, but those that did got across two points: They love bad puns, and they love Weekend Movies. In light of that, I will be continuing Wiikend Movies (see what I did there?).This week's movie involves Mario, a midget, a giant hand, and King Koopa being lit on fire. How they are all involved is what you must find out. Due to the great message this video brings, I am happy to present this weekend's movie, "Not So Super Mario".

Ah, I've seen this before. Very interesting. Does anyone know who/which organization made this?
-
As the end of the video noted, it was made by OriginalCharacters.NL
I thought this was a great clip and was going to post it when it first came out, but figured it could be saved for the weekend movie post.
-
That was terrible! So terrible, infact, that that was what made it great! It's funny.
-
I don't understand this at all.
-
Why do we even have weekend movies, and how are you supposed to watch them?
-
So bad that it's good, like Napoleon Dynamite or the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
-
I saw this one, and thought, WTD? It wasn't bad, but it was odd.
-
Dude, I thought it was funny. The midget pounding on Mario the whole time made me lol.

So bad that it's good, like Napoleon Dynamite or the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Except actually good.
I don't understand this at all.
The point was obviously to provide a humorous perspective on the problem of game piracy, but it's not clear if this clip was actually made for a company or just for fun. It seems like a lot of work for "just for fun," but perhaps they're a fledgling ad firm trying to make a portfolio.
Why do we even have weekend movies, and how are you supposed to watch them?
Preferably with your eyes.
-
Napoleon Dynamite isn't bad in the first place. This movie, however, was.
-
I thought this little awareness-type thing was hilarious, especially way the Mario guy seemed to be dangling around most of the time.
-
So it's supposed to be telling you that pirated games are bad?
I still don't understand the methodology here.
-
It's telling you that pirated games and game systems (like sold in streets and at large malls, not ROMs) are inaccurate and glitchy copies (true). It does this by showing a live-action humorously messed-up Mario level, which will hopefully be funny enough that you remember it the next time you're pondering buying that 837-games-in-one NES machine at a table in the Edmonton mall.
Napoleon Dynamite is awesome and uber, but made somewhat less so by people quoting 30443x times.

This is perfect YTP material.
