Marshal's also in boxes today.  I guess leaving on the 3rd means gone on the 3rd.  Unless you can accept another villager while your 10th is in boxes, it looks like the timing won't work.

CrossEyed, I'll try to leave my gates open today.

Sounds good to me, CrossEyed.  We'll have to find some way to coordinate on the day-of.

I'd like to, but I'm not sure if Diva will be out in time.

You wouldn't believe how much he sells for on GameFAQs... Not that I'd want to get rid of him. He's easily the most adorabru squirrel villager.

EDIT: Diva says she's moving "in 3 days". Not sure whether or not that includes today, or whether she'll be gone or simply packed up in boxes by then.

You're battling against Diva?  You have my condolences.  I can't tell if she'd be out in time, but it would be close.

And I wouldn't dream of profiting off of Marshal's departure.  I just want him to have a nice home...  Oh, if only I could just move his house a little...

Anyone interested in adopting Marshal?

He's a sort of flirty squirrel.  He's been a good neighbor so far, but he's moving out on the 3rd of next month.  I'd want to hang on to him... but his house happens to be right in the way of my perfect bridge plan, and I've just been waiting for him to leave.
But I would rather he go to a good home than be cast into the void.  Any takers?

In order to keep the games synced on both (or all) ends, I think they employed input lag and, while they didn't DROP the framerate per se, I seem to remember them pausing or slowing down the action if things got too desynchronized.  At the worst of times, the game became a turn-based tactical game: with generous slow-down and huge chunks of time before you saw your moves take effect, you had to (and had the opportunity to) think several steps ahead, and queue up the appropriate moves.  And while that could make an interesting idea for SOME kind of game, it ended up really lousy for Brawl.

If it's your first time getting music, he won't ask for requests.  He'll just play you a song and give it to you.  After that you can make requests and such again.  This is how it worked in City Folk at least, and I think Wild World, too.  It helps so that people who don't know what K.K.'s deal is won't request some useless song, get nothing worthwhile out of it, and wander off without knowing you can get music.

Which actually happened to me way back when the first game came out.

Y'know, CashCrazed, I've always wondered... back when the HTML trick was a thing, how did you go about doing it?  I discovered a method after learning from you that it was possible, but I never confirmed if your method was the same kinda thing.
What I would do was find some other site's forum that supported HTML (by putting a different number in the forum's URL, of course), then find the bit of HTML in the page source of that forum's "submit post" page that included the "enable HTML in this post" checkbox, then copy/paste that into a saved version of the "submit post" page for the post I was about to make, check the now-added checkbox, and post.

Was your method similar?  If you still remember?

Everybody is a lot less mean in New Leaf.  Nook no longer forces each new debt upon you, Lyle no longer screws you over with bogus insurance, poor Resetti has been almost completely stripped of his power...  Why, even the grumpy neighbors are more friendly.

I kinda miss it all...

I think they're too afraid of players finding sequence-breakers and workarounds. Same reason why Yoshi can't be brought into different stages anymore.

You do remember that the latest game let players straight-up place platforms wherever they wanted, right?

That is one poorly formatted graph.  Why is it measuring people with X or fewer partners?  Why not just plot people with X partners?

I remember the three big ones as 3DS Max, Maya, and SoftImage.  ...Is SoftImage still around any more?  I haven't heard much of it...
Of the three (or two), I think 3DS Max is the friendliest.  It will still take a great deal of time and effort to get to know it, but I think it's the most helpful in learning terms.
But those three are also all professional-level programs, and cost many monies.  I know there are smaller-scale programs around (things like Blender), but I don't know too much of them.  Blender does seem to be a free favorite, though.
Or if you just feel like playing around (and your computer can handle it) Sculptris is a neat program that tries a more intuitive approach to modeling.  But last I heard, it wasn't so much an alternative to proper 3D modeling so much as a supplement, if you mean to make models for any kind of purpose (like games or animation)...

In any case, I think I'm a number of years out of touch, so that may not all be accurate.
