I'm new... why can't I post a new topic?    I have one that's worth posting and will be HUGE but do I have to wait or something?    (check my signature for now)
My short film sucks.

Assuming you read the Rules and Regulations topic, you shouldn't have asked that question.

well, Bob, I DID read it... but how do I earn the right to post a new topic?    I'm not a spammer... but I do have something all the Mario fans will go nuts for.

If you read the rules, they say:

Quote from: The Rules
• New members will only be able to reply to topics.  With proper conduct, they will eventually earn the ability to post their own topics.

Basically, this means that once you reach 25 posts, you get to post topics. But don't start a topic just to advertise your site. Instead, put it in your profile, under "Website."

Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

Hold it, newbies only need to post 25 times before they got to create topics?

I thought the powers that be decided when they could create topics...
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

I'm not on here just to spam a website... it's to show everybody a MARIO CARTOON.    I'll play by the rules tho, no worries... and thanks for the kind advice.
My short film sucks.

so the link to a MARIO cartoon was removed from my signature because it qualifies as advertising even on a MARIO site?    Am I being bullied or is this normal.
My short film sucks.

Nope, it's normal. Just follow the rules. We don't bully anyone.

so... I'm NOT allowed to come onto a Mario site to show people the new Mario cartoon I just finished?    I make no money from this and I gain absolutely nothing from showing it off.    I'm simply sharing Mario "fan art"... not trying to cause trouble but does anybody see why I'm confused/frustrated?
My short film sucks.

I'm not a mod or admin. Personal Message one of them for more clarification.

What I did was make a topic telling about the site, etc. I asked them, and they said it's okay, as long as I don't just say something like "Hey! Check this out!". Topics must have more of a meaning. Mabey make a topic for posting fan videos or something. Mabey like, "Post your Mario art here!".

The admins are very kind and understanding. When they do something like that, 99% of the time it's for the better.

In return, they ask you to follow rules, which are easy to follow.

Here's the deal, Mr. Film Maker. You can talk about your animation, or even link it to us in some other thread (any idea that doesn't match up with previous threads often goes into The Pointless Topic). But making a thread about your animation or linking to it in a signature isn't recommended. It becomes tiresome to have topics coming out of our ears and having links in signatures.
