Game Help / Yoshi in Super Mario 64?
« on: July 24, 2000, 03:28:26 PM »
Can you really find Yoshi after you beat Bowser in "M64," or is it another myth like finding Luigi?

Game Help / Lost Level?
« on: July 17, 2000, 10:36:34 PM »
What happened to level 9 of "Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels?"  I did all the things the reference guide from this site said in 8-4, but I just went to level A.  I was playing the "Super Mario All-Stars" version of the game, was the whole level deleted for the rerelease?

Mario Chat / Super Mario Bros. instructions
« on: July 17, 2000, 10:31:11 PM »
I have never seen the instruction manual to the original "Super Mario Bros."  Sure, the cartridge I play CAME with instructions, but they got thrown out before I saw them (don't ask why).  I wanted to know if the manual gave the Princess' name as "Princess Toadstool," or was she just "the Princess?"  And what about Bowser Koopa?  Was he even established as a character back then?  Did the manual have pictures?  What did Mario look like?

Mario Chat / Is anyone else sick of all these glitches?
« on: July 17, 2000, 10:20:04 PM »
I was just playing "The Lost Levels" and There were all these glitches happening.  I decided to count how many killed me (I'm a pretty experienced gamer, and it's pretty tough to kill me), and I found out of 10 lives I lost, 7 were the direct result of game glitches.  And this was "Super Mario All-Stars" where they're supposed to have worked all the bugs out.  Is anyone else really tired of glitches and bugs in the older games interfering with play?

Game Help / Wet-Dry World

In "Super Mario 64" in Wet-Dry World how do you get the water up all the way?  There's a way to jump it says in the site that doesn't work.

Site Discussion / To Deezer, Hinopio, Dark Knight, etc.
« on: July 16, 2000, 12:24:04 PM »
My Mario website is about to go up (albeit considerable behind schedule) and I would like to credit some of the people at this site from whom I have received obscure information on the "Super Mario Bros." games which is included on the site.  Since all of the other credits are listed as real first and last names, I would like to know the actual names of the people using the following aliases:

Deezer
Hinopio
Dark Knight
M. K. Mario
The Biggest Boo
T.R.M.

I would appreciate your responses.

Mario Chat / Donkey Kong
« on: July 15, 2000, 05:47:57 PM »
This site says that the original "Donkey Kong" is 2-player.  How is this possible?  Who was the second player?  Luigi didn't exist yet.  The one in "Donkey Kong 64" is 1-player.

Mario Chat / Mario handhelds
« on: July 13, 2000, 07:14:49 PM »
I have two "Mario" handheld games.  One has "Super Mario Bros." printed on it, but it's just Mario navigating around moving platforms.  The other one is a one-screen version of "Donkey" Kong" where the object of the game is to get 5 keys to make Donkey fall.  Is there anywhere I can get info on "Mario" handheld games?  I haven't seen listings for these on this site or any other.

Mario Chat / Mario Jumper?
« on: July 11, 2000, 06:39:24 PM »
I remember years ago playing a game on the original Nintendo where Mario runs across stages with Goombas as obstacles, and to make Mario jump you shot at him with the Zapper gun.  Does anyone know what I'm talking about?  I can't find this game in any list of "Mario" games.  It may not have been Mario and those may not have been Goombas and it wasn't a "Mario" game at all but I remember pretty clearly that it was Mario running across a flat "Overworld" area with fences and bushes and fluffy clouds in the background and Goombas walking in the opposite direction like in the original "Super Mario Bros."

Game Help / Mario 64 snowman
« on: July 03, 2000, 09:58:05 PM »
How do you get the snowman's body back?  I can get the snowball to roll down to that level but it just goes right on off the edge, and I get flattened when ever I try to steer it in the direction of the head.  It gave instructions for how to do it on this site, but that didn't work.

Site Discussion / Super Mario Bros. 4
« on: June 29, 2000, 04:49:01 PM »
"Super Mario Bros. 4" was the original title of "Super Mario World."  I downloaded "Super Mario Bros. 4" on Real Player (it didn't work) from this site, but now I can't find where it was. Did the "Super Mario Bros. 4" picture and download get taken off of the Mushroom Kingdom, or was it a different site I'm thinking of?  Please help me, I really need that graphic for my "Mario" site (which should be up in about a week if I can find the graphics I need).

I am in the process of building a website related to the "Super Mario" video games, and before I put it up, I would like to have some graphics.  May I use some of the graphics and animations on this site?

Mario Chat / Super Mario Bros.: Deluxe
« on: June 27, 2000, 10:04:54 PM »
To the person posting under "Mario Master Dx.": Since you know all this stuff about "Super Mario Bros.: Deluxe," could you tell me which worlds from "Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels" were inserted into the Game?  Which Koopas are in it?

(This is not sarcastic or spiteful, I really want to know)

Game Help / POW Stadium
« on: June 27, 2000, 09:49:12 PM »
OK, on the box for "Super Mario All-Stars" there are all these screen-shots of different arenas and different enemies and different stuff for the 2-player battle games, and it even says it's the original "Mario Bros." but I can't figure out how to get the different levels or whatever of POW Stadium, I just get the one place for Battle Game and the other place for in-game matches.  How do I play the other version?  It doesn't say how in the instructions.  Do they even exist?  Is it a printing error?  What?  I'm going crazy, here!

Mario Chat / Arcade Mario
« on: June 27, 2000, 03:27:32 PM »
What "Mario" games have been released on arcade?  I know about the classic "Mario Bros.," "Super Mario Bros.," and "Mario World" were there any others?  What are the differences between the arcade and Nintendo/Super Nintendo/Game Boy games?
