i think that nintendo should stop making 3d mario crap. sm64 was bad and super mario sunshine will be too. nintendo should make mario 2d once again because 2d platformers are just more fun. i have almost every mario made and smb,smb3,and smw are the ones most fun. what do these games have in commin? they are all 2d platformers with about the same gameplay. mario doesnt need new story lines or complex 3d grafics, all it needs is simple 2d platform game play with hundreds of levels. could you imagine a new smb3 style game for gamecube which has hundreds of levels? who doesnt think a great game like this wouldnt sell better then sms? does anyone just buy games for thier grafics? nes and snes are the best systems with the best games. if you want great visuals buy a movie, if you want great great gameplay and hours of fun get an old 2d mario.
Are people around you aware that Mario is a touchy subject?

i will get mario sunshine because its a mario game, but although i have sm64 i think its the worste of the series. i think on the standard of mario games 3d mario games arent as good as the 2d games were, and never will be.

Well, I thought SM64 was a great game, one of the best in the series. However, I would really like to see some new 2D Mario games. Personally, I am getting sick of all these to-GBA remakes.

I as well. Although I did not think SM64 was bad, even it was one of my faves, and SMS probably will be good, but 2D are better, and right now, I could come up with alot of Mario games, and I'm sick of wasting my money on a game I already have. The only good remakes were SMBDX, and SMA was good cause they actually changed the game, but Nintendo's going too far: Remaking all the Mario games and adding the same mini-game, MB, Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and...well you get the drill! Now if Nintendo came to this board, we could probably have tons of good new 2D Mario games that will sell greatly. I mean, here in Canada, all these **** remakes are over $50, and that is a RIP OFF! If they were 10 bucks, I could understand. I mean, I feel like a mule getting these remakes. I realize that I have more fun with other peoples's games like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Mega Man Battle Network, and Golden Sun, than with my Mario remakes.
SMA was Ok. I liked it. It would've been nice to see some new levels, but I loved the improved gameplay, and voices and stuff.
But I'm definately not getting YI: SMA3, because SMA2 wasn't too appealing. When I first got GBA, I chose SMA cause I'm a Mario fan, and when I did, I liked it, despite its easier gameplay. And mostly, I loved MB. I miss the days where I played again and again, trying to beat my scores. Those were the days.
Well, now I've gotten to Phase 99, and I have beaten all the 2D Mario Platforms, and now we need a new game. Wario Land 4 was good CAUSE IT WAS NEW! And I'll most likely get G&W4, because those games kick ass!

I think SM64 was one of the best Mario games. I liked it alot. The bosses could have been a little better, but it is still a great game. It will always come to mind when I think of the N64.
