It is known that Mario once had a pretty girlfriend named Pauline. Most people believe Mario was forced to leave Pauline because he and his brother, Luigi, left Brooklyn for the Mushroom Kingdom forever...
However, it is known that the source of this information actually comes from DiC's Super Mario cartoon syndicates (nobody really knows why this information is the most acceptable...)
On the other hand, according to the official Nintendo's Super Mario storyline, Mario was part of the Mushroom Kingdom ever since he was born!! That means Pauline could be part of the Mushroom Kingdom too!! The point: Why did Mario really leave Pauline? And what of Pauline?.....
Mysteries of Super Mario's Past is an organization I created to make people realize and discuss certain issues from the past of Mario's history that can affect his future... someday. These discussions do not really answer these mysteries, but somehow gives shared views to expose acceptable biases on these situations.

Something like, Mario was born in the MK but was later transported to Brooklyn for reasons undetermined. Later, he found the warp back to the MK.

Chupperson Weird is right!! Mario did come from Brooklyn, and it's according to the OFFICIAL Nintendo sources (It took me days to prove that incorrect, I discovered that it was right)!!

Mario's parents deside it's not safe for the bros to live in TMK
Mario Bros transported to Brooklyn (plumbers for foster parents)
Mario Bros learn plumbing skills
Donkey Kong and Mario Bros games happen
TMK in trouble Mario and Luigi transported back to TMK
Mario Bros stay in TMK to protect Peach from Bowser

Mario and Luigi are brought into the world by Mushroomian parents in The Mushroom Kingdom. Kamek, predicting their futures, tries to kill them before they can grow up, so their parents bring them to Brooklyn and give them to Italian foster parents, the father being a plumber/carpenter man, and they learn handiwork and such, and gain their Italian accents.
They grow up in Brooklyn, Mario dates a girl named Pauline, DK escapes or somehow gets there and captures her, and he makes one of his first conciously heroic acts in saving her. Shortly after, he's contacted by the Mushroom Kingdom in lieu of the fact that Princess Peach Toadstool, their crowned ruler, has been captured by King Bowser Koopa of the Koopas, who wishes dominion over them, and they need Mario and Luigi's help...
