I agree with King Koopa. Also another bad thing is that, where I live, no shops sell the Mario games for SNES anymore and I can't find them in 2nd hand shops and my Dad has a rule that I can't get games off the 'net.

The Game Boy didn't make a come back. Because it never went away. Not until around 2005, at least.

Yeah, seriously quit bumping threads especially when you have absolutely nothing to say. At all.
That was a joke.

Maybe it's that I only check a few of the forums here, but haven't replies been hard to come by for a while? Except for Forum Games which always seems to have activity. Bringing back old threads might be a good thing, just to get us something more to talk about. Maybe. I don't know, I just walk in and out of threads...

But seriously, why isn't Nintendo making new SNES games anymore?

I heard some legit developer recently released a new NES game.

The Brothers Chaps will release their Homestar Runner game for Atari any decade now...

But yeah, there are still people making unofficial games for early consoles like the NES. I don't think it's possible to play them in a real NES unless you have some fancy ROM tools lying around. I know someone did a Commodore 64 version of Guitar Hero though.

I haven't seen any unofficial SNES games though, what's up with that? Maybe people are just making the most of old hardware and don't feel the need to upgrade to a more powerful console yet. Playstation 2 is nearly a decade old and there's still official games being made for it. I think it will keep going on for another five years.

Can't wait until we start seeing unofficial N64 and GameCube games. We might get a lot of games with deformed lousy-looking 3D models, but I'm sure we'll get some Banjo-Kazooies out of it too.

There are homebrew SNES games. Just no one cares.
PS2 still has Sony support whereas Nintendo's consoles don't get support when they are supplanted by the next gen console.
Seems like most people don't care enough at all to try to make new N64/GCN games, although people do make new Dreamcast games since all you have to do is burn a CD to run it...
That was a joke.

Yeah, I'd have to disagree with Fox's assessment as well. NSMBWii's situational costumes and simple, arena-style boss battles ring more heavily of SMB3.

There's only one level per world with Yoshis, and you can't take them to other levels. They've become slightly more common Kuribo's Shoes. Which makes it like SMB3 again. Or like Donkey Kong Country, what with animal buddies not being able to be taken to other levels and there being barrels that you can pick up over your head and throw and the graphics being in 3D.

I suppose removing the physics of bottomless pits was too difficult to accomplish in SMB's era, and the trend continued thereafter.

Its a good thing most (myself included) members here at TMK are mature enough for this 10 Year Old-Bumped topic to stay open. If this forum was less mature, this would be closed as a testimony to the spammers and trolls telling them rule-breakers will not be tolerated.

That was the most neutral, politically correct statement I've ever read. As for our two newest members, they've certainly sparked an unprecendented amount of conversation. Heck, the Forum is on fire tonight compared to its usual pace.
