Not at the Dinner Table / Re: Abortion
« on: July 03, 2008, 03:09:36 PM »
Ok, here we go...

A fetus isn't a human being.
Yes it is. As soon as it's conceived, it's a living human being. This is not just a religious belief, either. It's been proven scientifically.

I can't see how people can call themselves pro-life and meanwhile eat meat. What about the cows? You're killing them, but could still do without killing them.
Dude, cows don't have souls.

I'm not saying abortion isn't killing, I'm saying it can't be called 'murder'. If that's the case, euthanizing a terminally ill patient is also murder.
Killing a human being is murder. An unborn baby is a human being. Thus, abortion is murder. And yes, euthanizing people is also murder.

They should be using that money to research cures for more horrible diseases like breast cancer and such.
There are already cures for cancer. The medical industry just doesn't want anyone to know about them, because if it was cured they'd no longer be making money from cancer patients.

Point and case, in my opinion, human life should be measured on said human's ability to recognize and appreciate its own human life. Basically, you need to acknowledge your own existance to... well... exist.
So it's okay to kill people in comas too, huh?

Video Game Chat / Re: Wii Fit: Brilliant idea or retarded gimmick?

It just so happens that SMB1, 2, and 3 combined are in fact shorter than one of the modern Mario platformers.
Even so, one platformer per console isn't enough.

Pretty much all I play are platformers, and I hate having to wait five years between games.

They ought to put out at least 2 or 3 Mario platformers per console, like in the NES days.

High-Def = Just that, cosplay, or any other realistic interpretations of a character.
No.

Hi-def = 1280x720 pixels or greater.

What did Iraq even do to us, anyway? The whole 9/11 thing was supposedly the Afghanistan guys, so why are we at war with Iraq?

I remember it. It was released around the same time as all of those NES remakes for GBA.

Yeah, me too.
If I fall asleep on my back, or if I'm really tired, I often will have sleep paralysis, and it sure can be scary.

None. It's pretty hard to be afraid of something that doesn't exist.

I'm curious as to where the original Weegee picture even came from.

My reason for believing that is this:
There's no way the towers collapsed from getting struck by planes. They were designed to withstand getting hit by planes. There were explosives in the basement. Several survivors have said that they heard explosives going off in the basement. Of course, you never hear from them on the news because they don't conform to the official story of how it happened.
Also, the owner of the WTC pretty much confirmed it in a PBS interview.
They wanted a war, and they knew that causing a crisis would make it more likely. It's all a part of their plan to take away our rights and create the New World Order.

I don't think war is ever necessary. If two countries have a disagreement, they should just negotiate in a mature way.
I especially think the war in Iraq is really dumb. The US has no right to tell other countries what to do.

In fact, I think this whole "war on terror" is just an excuse to take away our rights (and to take the Arabs' oil). I believe that the government either planned or allowed the events of 9/11 to happen just so they'd have an excuse to start wars and do stupid stuff like the Patriot Act.

It's always possible for people to commit less than first degree, aggravated, even accidental murder, goodie.

Anyone who intentionally kills a person, deserves to be killed themself.

Video Game Chat / Re: Cheap Nintendo Hate
« on: June 23, 2008, 05:04:29 PM »
Have you seen any cheap Nintendo hate in the real world? Not just by random fanboys? If so, tell about it, like for instance:

While going to my local Blockbuster, I checked to see how much videogames were rented, and saw something cheap(Both ways):

PS3 & Xbox 360: $8
PS2 & Xbox & Wii: $7
PS1 & Gamecube: $5

...Now the Gamecube is arguable, but sticking the Wii with the last gen systems? Bull. What have you seen?
Technically speaking, the Wii isn't much more advanced than the Xbox, so it makes sense to group them together.
