In the past 3 games there's been 8 characters to chose from. Now, what's your dream roster of 8 Mario characters to be on the new GC version of Mario Kart.

If the rumor that Nintendo may be going to buy Capcom is correct, then may be Mega Man will be used in future Nintendo franchis games like Mario Cart, Smash Bros., golf, tennis, mario party, etc. I think it would be cool to have Mario, Link, and Mega Man together in any game.

I agree, but who you gonna bump so Fox, Mega Man, and Link can be added to Mario Cart. I bumped Yoshi, and notice you bumped DK. Who else?
The easy answer is to allow more characters, but I thing the intent of this thread is to make us choose.

Well, for a Mario Kart game, I'd stick with the eight Mario characters I have listed... I think an all-Nintendo racing game would be better if you want to include characters outside the Mario games.

I have always wanted to see another game with the Koopa kids.
It would be funny if there was a Bill Gates that rode an Xbox if you was the worst character and all the others beat up on him.

Well if it's going to be a Mario Kart game then they should stick to strictly Mario-related characters. And this is how I'd do it: I'd have the 8 racers from MK64 and MKSC as the default racers, and then have 8 hidden racers be revealed after you complete a certain task, and here are the 8 I'd like:
Mallow
Geno
Waluigi
Wart
Koopa Troopa
Smithy
Daisy
Shadow Mario
Now a racing game with all Nintendo characters (like Super Smash Bros. Kart or something) would be even more awesome, and here's what I'd like:
Mario (duh)
Luigi
Bowser
Link
Samus
Fox
Yoshi
Mega Man
Kirby
Sonic (why not?)
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong

I, on the other hand, DO hate Microsoft. You know how David Dayton's attitude toward the company is pretty negative? Well, I hate it a whole lot more than he does.
The reason my post has that in there is because I was trying out the signature thing. I'm not so sure I like it because it just puts the same thing over and over, and that could feel a tad repetitive to anyone reading my posts.
Oh, and see the ((=((((("_():::::::::::::::::::::::::::::> up there, too? That is supposed to be a light saber in the same way :) is supposed to be a smiley face.

I believe that games like the Kart and the Party series will always have mario-only carachters, being them "super MARIO kart" and "MARIO party". Super Smash Bros does not have MARIO in the title so it is not limited to mario carachters only.
There may be Kamek, Waluigi or even Daisy, but not Link, leave alone Samus!
so, my dream roster is... the same of the GBA version.
there will be secret tracks (maybe the original NES ones) and there MIGHT be secret carachters.
the real challenge is guessing the
NEW SECRET FEATURE
Nintendo is keeping secret.
They are not revealing it now because they are afraid that other kart games will copy it.

Maestro: Some people say he's the Toad in the throne rooms in SMB3 that says the King has been transformed, but he also appeared in the SMB comics.
Cele: Yes, that's why we were saying it would be cool to have Super Smash Bros. Kart. And what's wrong with Samus? She's not as cool as Krystal, but still... :-P
