Title: Just what is the FF's definition of "newbie"?
Post by: WarpRattler on April 01, 2004, 01:13:47 AM
Is it determined by how many posts the user has? Does it depend on how long they've been a member? If neither of those, what is it?

There is no concrete definition, as it mostly involves how the member in question is viewed by other members.

Generally, posting a fair amount and being coherent will get you past newbie stage fairly quickly. Not posting a newbie thread helps, also. I've been a newbie multiple times because I kept leaving and coming back when no one knew me. I only got past the newbie stage once, but once I did, look what happened.

new-bie (noo-bee) n. 1. an annoyance, usually lasting for about a week in any forum. 2. adj Annoying, or having the qualities of annoyance.

And now you know.

Yes, that's what happens when kids get into their first years of Second Language in school. They try using it somewhere and fail miserably. Either that or they use a translator which would be worse than they would've have been in the first place.

I think it's a Family Guy quote, but it's been battered by the rough waters of translation.

Yea, look at the name and the ID, the fake is #1

~Oh, come now.  You could at LEAST find out what Deezer's ACTUAL ID is.

Shut up, marioguy.
