Title: Paper Mario question

At some point in the game (I forget where, but fairly late . . . maybe sometime during or after Flower Fields) somebody mentions how much Yellow Yoshis like food, and how they'd appreciate it if you gave them really yummy food.  Or something.  Is there actually an item you're supposed to give them?  If so, what is it?  I've tried a lot of stuff and they never ask for anything I have.

Search the fields and hit every tree until you find yellow berries. Feed those to whoever you're talking about and he'll let you pass. If you want to thank me my e-mail address is: mike34er@aol.com Hope this helps.

No . . . no, not the gate thing.  The Yoshies.  I think it's Russ T. who tells you (after the area you're talking about) that Yellow Yoshies love yummy food, and to give them some if you ever find any.  I've tried yellow berries and they don't work.

Give Yoshi something Tayce T. cooked with two ingredients, and Yoshi will give you a Melon.

One, what Yoshis are we talking about? and two, what do melons do? are they worth it?
