The people at TMK have a vast collection of Mario-based MP3s.  Every now and then, they complie a playlist from them (I think they just do it randomly) and update WTMK.  That's why there are certain songs that you may not hear for a while.

If this is the case, why dont they just take all the mp3s and put em on there and shuffle them so we dont hear the same stuff over and over again?

Er... some of those songs will return. Some won't. Legal stuff. Long story.

Do The Donkey Kong -will- return, though.
Let's do the Mario, all together now!

We're playing it safe. Actually, the folks who host us at ZRN are playing it safe. They request that the stations stick to the music directly from the video games.

So what's up with all the Japanese in the song titles? I know those aren't the Japanese names for the games.
Oh, it says Koji Kondo on there now. So it's the dudes who wrote the music?

"They request that the stations stick to the music directly from the video games."

Does that mean no more live versions of the mario theme or orchestrals?
