Other than that footage of Mario and Luigi racing, we know nothing about it.

That was a joke.

The footage Chupperson Weird is talking about (Mario and Luigi racing) was VERY EARLY in development. That's why the characters are shown racing in a barren course against a plain black background. It still looked pretty impressive, though. The character models looked polished and smooth.

I can't wait to see what new improvements Nintendo is going to add to this game. Also, Shigeru Miyamoto said in a recent press conferece that they are NOT planning any online multiplayer modes for Mario Kart GC... :(
People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

BUT, Miyamoto DID hint that he considered it highly innovative-which is extremely good because, hey, I love the cart genre more than the next guy, but all three Mario Karts have been very evolutionary. Give me a revolution! Hear hear!

Miyamoto recently confirmed the presence of Mario Kart GC at E3. In fact, its gonna be one of the biggest games there this year, so he thinks.

It probably wil be.
No one will have near as much stuff as Nintendo did last year.

I think it'd be cool if Daisy and Waluigi were in it, making the character choices up to 10, especially since they're becoming pretty popular in the Mario universe.
I'd also like it if they let you shoot red shells backward, like in Super Circuit. But only time will tell.

I'm pretty sure the backwards-firing red shells will be a go.  Though there've only been three games to date, they seem to hold onto the good ideas like that from previous games.

Yeah.
If hey have all the control options of Super Circuit, and in a big 3D world, I'll be happy.

I thought somebody would've found this out by now, but apparently, NintendoNow.com said on March 31 who was going to be in Mario Kart 128. I can't remember all of them, because there were thirty (yes, you can squeal with joy now), but I remember you could be:
the regular 8 characters,
Dr. Mario,
Baby Mario,
Baby Bowser,
E.Gadd,
King Boo,
Big Boo,
Goomba,
Diddy Kong,
Dixie Kong,
and all seven Koopa Kids.

Although, on April 1st, the site pulled a lot of April Fool's Day pranks, so this could be one of them. But, I know they provided a source for this update, so someone should check it out.

That does sound a bit strange. I don't think Diddy or Dixie would be in a Mario game, since their in the "DK" universe. Only DK is in both universes.

Anyway, it's probably the classic 8 for the drivers, and any others would be cameos. The most likely candidates for new drivers would be, as I mentioned earlier, Daisy and Waluigi.

That would rock. Like F-ZERO X, sorta.
Shiggy said something about big changes, so maybe this is true.
And really, I wouldn't be surprised if more Kongs started showing up, since Nintendo bought all of them from Rare when they sold Rare. Just like they bought Krystal and all the other Dinosaur Planet characters from SFA.

This is weird... I'm trying to find the page that said the characters, but it doesn't say anything. Odd. Anyway, I just remembered that some of the characters you could be (possibly) are:
Daisy
Waluigi
Paratroopa
Plum
Birdo
