Help help oh my god is anyone alive? Is anyone out there? Hello? Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear me? Is anyone there? Oh my god, TMK is dead. Hello? Someone must be out there? Hello? Oh jesus, I heard something. I heard something coming from over here. Hello? Hello? Is anyone there? I heard something. "Invincible". What? What? Invincible? What's invincible? What's invincible? What are you talking about? Hello? Is anyone there? Invincible? What does that mean? What's invincible? There's nothing here. There's only dust and echoes. Invincible... invincible... we thought the playground sets of our childhood were made of strong steel, but they crumbled all the same... Help, help I say.

I just read Page 6 of this topic, and my heart was struck with fear. What a fantastic experience!

Oh. Things are kinda dusty, huh? Lizard guy and Boo Dudley and Luigison are all still posting, even though it's been so long. At least, they posted last year. But even that's pretty recent, eh? Well, cheers, cheers...!

Mario Chat / New Mario Movie (Not Joke)
« on: December 12, 2014, 03:14:48 PM »

Sony Pictures and Nintendo appear to have closed a deal for the animated feature film rights to the Super Mario Bros. video game franchise, according to a series of emails discovered in the massive trove of hacked Sony files recently leaked to the media.

“I am the proud father of mario the animated film [sic],” producer Avi Arad told Sony studio chief Amy Pascal in an email dated Oct. 23, 2014, with the subject line “Mario.” Arad then forwarded Pascal separate images of him with Mario Bros. creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, the latter of which included the message, “Happy ceo, lets get together, it’s the mother load. [sic]”

Pascal forwarded that email to Tom Rothman, who heads up Sony Pictures subsidiary TriStar Pictures. “Avi closed Mario brothers,” she said. “Animated.”

[On Oct. 24, Arad sent an email to Sony Pictures Animation president of production Michelle Raimo Kouyate thanking her for a congratulatory basket she sent him filled with Mario Bros. merchandise. “Thank you Avi!” Kouyate responded. “Let’s build a Mario empire!” Kouyate also sent a photo of the basket to Pascal, and said, “I can think of 3-4 movies right out of the gate on this. So huge!”

We all know how the previous movie turned out, but with this being animated it'll probably keep a lot more to the source material. Pretty exciting stuff.

With Forest Guy's personal update I kind of wonder what everyone is doing in life now?

I'm a Chemistry student in my second year of university. I don't play video games as often anymore, but in the gaming world I'm still a Nintendo fan first and foremost. (I'm also learning Japanese because of my love of Japanese stuff, which started with Nintendo!)

I wasn't around for as long or as much as the rest of you were, but this still feels like my internet home and I get twinges of nostalgia every time I check back here.

Fan Creations / Mario's Crowbar (Fanfiction)

(Firstly: This story contains horror elements, dark elements, OC characters, and a complex plot. There is a lot of horror at the beginning but it is not the main theme of the story.)

(Secondly: If you are angry because I am linking out of site, please read below.)

This site, The Mushroom Kingdom, was like my internet cradle, it was a place I spent every day on back when I was in middle school. Fittingly, this was the place where I put all of my fanfictions, my writings. I never finished my stories and I never edited what I wrote because I was a stupid kid, but I was happy with the small amount of attention I received.

I eventually moved on and basically stopped writing for about four years. Like all things these years were both good and bad for different reasons, but I eventually felt the ache to write again in my heart. Writing is not meant to be my profession in life, so I decided I was satisfied with the hobby of writing fanfictions. I returned to an old story I once posted here and began to rewrite it, actually making an effort to edit and use the improved writing skills I had developed over the years. What I have made—and am still working on—is the above.

So why am I posting this here? Because this was where I started out, and I know that some here used to read my stuff. Those people may have moved on in their lives, but there may be others here who could be interested in my writing.

However, I admit that a large part of this is also nostalgia, and that I simply want my "greatest work" (as far as a fanfiction can go) to be ingrained in my first home.

TL;DR: I am a weirdo who still writes Mario stories, read it if you like.

EDIT: The story has been removed from Fanfiction. I am turning it into an original novel. Keep this on the low down ; )

So, uh, you guys heard about the whole Rosalina being Peach's/Luigi's daughter, right?

(Part 1:)

(Part 2:)

It's good stuff, there's basically no reason to not call it canon besides it being too weird/morbid, which is a dumb reason. I mean, I think the ideas for this have been floating around for a long time, it's just that this guy has finally brought all of the evidence together.

So what's everyone think about this one? I'm disappointed they're continuing with this rather boring naming style, and the Cat suits seem kind of awkward, but it looks good otherwise. I'm always hoping for weird cameos so all of the SMB2 references make me hope for a return of Wart. Game Over screens suggest Bowser as the main villian again, however.

The mission has finally succeeded...I remember calling Nintendo while I was in Middle School asking about Earthbound and Mother 3 as part of one's projects. Everyone make sure to buy a copy- if they see enough sales they may consider releasing Mother 3.

Nope, EA is coming back to Wii U.

I don't understand why there is always a games shortage with Nintendo releases.

Strange system designs make third parties hesitant.

I guess some form of social justice does still exist here.

I had a strange dream last night where I was working on my old Mario fanfic. I woke up this morning wanting to come back here (I've been hanging out at the Something Awful forums for these past two years...), but I hadn't had the chance to until now. I had been logging in and out in order to add chapters to my story every six months or so, but I feel like coming back for a prolonged visit this time. So, hello everyone! Just taking a quick look around, it seems a lot of the people I remembered are still here.

I never saw it until today when I was moving data between my Wiis to prepare for Wii U transfer:

This game's save data icon is WEIRD. An endless zoom into the mouth of a doll character I don't recognize and then the uvula is another copy of itself.

It's Riki...

You don't recognize Riki? :(

Yeah, the new episode was brilliant. Probably my favorite of the new season.

Yeah, this episode was great. We got to find out that Dash is an even bigger jerk than anyone thought, and a animal abuser, almost getting them eaten alive and killed in a "game". It's completely unfair that the falcon lost to a cheap technicality. "Oh, but it didn't save her!" Do you think Rainbow Dash was going to go back and help any of the animals in the course that almost died? The bat was almost eaten, and she wouldn't have even known. The falcon almost had to rip off its wings to get out of the briars. Do you think RD cared?

I'm going to pretend this episode doesn't exist. F*** you Tank.
