You know you shouldn't be talking, if a person needs help, then you should give him some help. Besides nobody goes to the game help anymore, so I can see why he came to the general chat.

Heh. I've now been infected with Animal Crossing fever. Just... when and how do you get an NES?
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: jjf8420 on December 26, 2002, 11:04:04 AM
Go to www.gamefaqs.com, or wait for a letter from Nintendo. They sent me a letter, and I gaot music, 2 pieces of furniture, and a NES with Balloon Fight! By the way, I am having trouble with what kind of furniture theme I should make my house. I made my up-stairs all Regal furniture, but for the main floor, I'm stuck between Ranch theme, Classic theme, or Exotic theme. Some one tell me what I should do!!!

I am working on a Regal theme to my first floor, and so far, all I have is the wallpaper and a desk. But it seems kinda dull. Kinda, blech. But I'll probably finish it. I need to find a way to pay of about 90,000 bells to that theivous racoonous Tom Nook. Man, that's alot of bells.

Dang!
Well, I got my letter and I got a tape and two NESs, one with Donkey Kong and another with Clu Clu Land. What a weird game!
...Now I just have to finish paying old Nook for my very small new house...
Oh yeah, ...dang, I forgot now.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: jjf8420 on December 27, 2002, 10:02:01 AM
And you know what really gets me, is that I still only score 15,000 points on the HRA even though I have a completed Regal series and matching carpet and wallpaper. What do I have to do? Oh by the way, if you put a completed T-Rex statue on the west side of your house, I heard you can get 14,000 points just for that from the HRA.

I wonder how much my next upgrade to the upstairs is going to cost???

You can't hardly get around a village on Halloween, everyone tries to get your candy, and if you dont have any or dont share, they turn your clothes to rags and turn items in to Jack-O-Lanterns and Jack in the boxes, and I wanted to get the spooky set. By the way, does anyone wanna try trading somr items ?

You'll have to wait until Redd shows up in the spring or summer time chupp, and he might not have it in stock because it's all random at his store.

Post by: jjf8420 on December 28, 2002, 01:42:10 PM
Ah but I have all the space in the world, but they still tell me that my house is a ware house, so I guess I should get more items. Gamefaqs has codes that you tell Tom Nook and you will get free stuff from him.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Chupperson Weird on December 28, 2002, 11:25:27 PM
Well, do you just have a couple big rooms, or is it more smaller rooms? A warehouse seems to me like it would mean a big open space...
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: CharginChuck on December 29, 2002, 05:11:39 PM
I read the 2nd floor doesn't need a theme.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: jjf8420 on December 29, 2002, 05:48:11 PM
Yeah, but the up-stairs gets rated, so it would be wise to have a completed series or theme. Oh I almost forgot, do more animals move into your village on certain days, or do you have to do what the well tells you so more people will want to live in your village??

Oh yeah!! I''m getting all the bells from the Feng Shui!! I have a money tree that gives me 3 bags of 30,000 bells too!!!
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Chupperson Weird on December 29, 2002, 09:41:57 PM
Is there a way to get lotsa bells quick? Besides shaking trees and digging up the ground? And selling peaches to ol' Tommy?
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Watoad on December 30, 2002, 07:30:26 PM
Yeah, Gooch, I wanna trade! If you give me a peach, I'll give you a cherry (you CAN trade fruit, right?). I have a couple NES games and some other cool items, too. If you want to e-mail me, just click on the Mario icon above. Or we could type the trading codes right in the forums, I guess. Please let me know if you're still interested in trading!

Note on how to get money quickly: Tom Nook will buy the shells and corals found at the beach. Picking those things up is quick business, and they all return if you quit and start up again.

Some fish are worth a lot, too.

I'd like to trade, but I don't know how... Could someone please tell me? By the way, the HRA gave my house 1,344 points. Heh.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Watoad on December 31, 2002, 12:34:57 AM
To trade, go to Tom Nook and talk to him. When the list of choices comes up, choose "Other Things." If you want to hear a code to give to someone else, choose "Hear Code." If you want to say a code that you received from someone else, choose "Say Code."

I actually have not yet traded with anyone. Why don't you tell me your name and town (be exact) so I can send you something? It would be good practice for both of us.

If anyone else (Gooch?) would like to trade, post here or e-mail me!
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Chupperson Weird on December 31, 2002, 12:58:37 AM
I would trade, but unless you want an orange box or something, I don't really have anything worth trading.

I bet you have something I don't. A piece of fruit (if fruit can be traded), or maybe some cheap stationary. Even if you don't have anything, go ahead and tell me your name and town. I just wanna trade, even if it's only on the giving end. It has only been a week since I got this game, but I'm really into it!

Alas, but yet not alas, today is raffle day. Nook's store isn’t open for regular business. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get some codes ready for you guys. Thanks for giving me your names and towns, Chupperson, Gooch, and jjf8420. I have them written down and will give you some stuff later. I do not guarantee that you will love what I’ll give you because I haven't had the game for all that long, but I'll try to choose some nice things.

The reason I said "but yet not alas" above is that I won a samurai suit at the raffle today! Yippee!

If any of you want to give me anything, my name is Errol and my town is Cahquene (weird name -- be careful about the spelling). I don't know yet whether fruit can be traded, but if it can, I'd really like to get anything other than cherries.

Hopefully sometime tomorrow I will make my way to this thread and post some juicy codes! Until then, Happy New Year!

OOH! I want a Luigi trophy!
Today I made a cool design from the Star Fox team badge. I put it on my door.
...So you only have cherries? I have only peaches.
It's funny... we use our real names in AC... but not here.... heh

Oh and also, I have a Shine Shirt, I made the Mario face from the Nintendo Power book, and I have the NES Link shirt. If I could only get the Little bro shirt, and the Big Bro shirt. By the way, anyone have a Gold Econo chair?

Ok, go to Nook and go to other things, then go to say code. It will ask for name and town name. My name is Justin, and my town name is Corneria. Then attach the gift. I think that's how it works...

Ok Gooch, here's YOUR code for your Luigi trophy:

key symbol
oytrKmgYqfMhTK
eo&am69KUdY3zn

This should work, when you want to pick it up, go to Nook, and go to say code, type in the password above, and you should have a Luigi Trophy in your possesion. If this password does not work, let me know, because I have another one as a back-up.

Oh and Chupp and Watoad, can I please get your information again, I lost my sheet...

Now to send me the chair Gooch, go to Nook and go to HEAR CODE. Type in Corneria for town name, and Justin for Name of person. Nook will want to know if this is correct, say yes, and then he will ask you about what gift your sending. grab the gold econo chair, and say yes to give. Nook will once again ask if this info is correct. Say yes, and then Nook will give you a code, write it as it's shown on the tv. First line should be the key symbol, and then two rows with a long letters of a code. Write this code down, and post it on this site so that I can get your gift. Your Luigi Trophy is waiting for you!!!

Here are some passwords for Chupperson, Gooch, and jjf8420. You get four each. I had WAY too much stuff crammed into my house, so I’m giving lots of it away. Still, I tried to choose good items, so I hope you like them (if you don’t already have them).

The first password for each of you is for a cherry, and the second is for a piece of road construction equipment. The other two are surprises.

Since there are so many passwords, I could have made a mistake or two despite my double- and triple-checking. Feel free to tell me if any of them doesn’t work.

There is always a key symbol, as you know, so I didn’t put that down with each password. Also noteworthy is that, as far as I can tell, zeros and capital “O”s in Animal Crossing are the same, so you can use either when entering passwords.

If it is difficult to distinguish between the letters below, such as between a lowercase “L” and a capital “I”, try copying the code into a word processor and changing the font.

And now for the passwords:

I have said twice already that I'd really like to get ANY fruit(s) other than cherries, yet people are still asking. Oh, well.

I would really appreciate some fruit, jjf8420 and Big Boo. Please give me whatever is convenient for you.

I'll take anything else you guys care to give as well. That includes your ebony piano, Big Boo.

Thank you very much, jjf8420, for the trophy code. Unfortunately for me, school starts tomorrow, so I don't have lots of free time on my hands right now. Once I get some, I will enter the passwords for the Arwing, trophy, and surprise item from Gooch.

Also, Big Boo, I am happy to give you some stuff, too. It also has to wait until I have time, though. Do you want a cherry?

Thank you, everyone, for the stuff!

2.N Logo
3. Super Mushroom
4. Koopa Shell
6. Flag pole
7. Coin
10. Starman

Thank you very much! :-D
I'd greatly appreciate those. I have all the rest.

Oh, and can I get an apple from somebody? Two, actually? my bro needs them to help out some villagers who claim to be starving.
Oh, and my brother asked if he could get a Luigi trophy. If you have any left, can I give you his info?
I got 500 bells from selling a cherry to Tom! Can somebody give me a couple more cherries?

Yes, that was greedy little me! Heheheheh!

Ok Chupp, I have 3 Luigi trophies left ( one for myself), so I can give you another one. All the other Mario items you want, will be on there way soon! I can also hook anybody up with some NES games if they want some! Oh and Big Boo, what do you want for that ivory piano? And the final thing, if anyone has a Cream Sofa, please let me know.

Oh I almost forgot, I can also send you some apples!

Listen to this: Chupperson gave me Donkey Kong (thanks, by the way!). I entered the password twice and got two of them. I have done this with other items as well. The thing is, I am limited to three password entries per day. Isn't this true for all of you, too? Couldn't Chupperson just enter the password I gave him for cherries a second and third time to get more cherries? And couldn't he do the same for another Luigi trophy?

jjf8420, do you think I could have an apple? Or maybe a coconut? I've been asking for fruit, but no one has given me any.

Courtesy Nintendo Power magazine, here's a password for a Starman that everyone can use:

4UF6T948GZ3ZW3
dw#%jtLEqj5ZBf

This is another password that I entered twice, getting me two Starmen.

Uhh... I just want some Nintendo stuff. I don't really care who it's from. Oh, by the way: I made a typo. It's an ebony piano, not an ivory one. But does anybody want a space station? I really don't want mine, but I don't want to sell it. Also, I need cherries.

So! A contingency they didn't anticipate!
Cool! So that means I could get as many Arwings as I want and sell them to Tom? If they sell for as much as they cost, I'd be rollin' in dough!

I would like a Master Sword! I can get you a Boxing Barricade!
But I would like a Mario Trophy as well! I can pay you for one if you order one for me!
And a Big Bro shirt!

I can give people NES games in exchange for 3000 bells each or an item of comparable value...
Oh yeah, and if anybody wants a G logo, I can get one for them!

Oh, jjf8420, what NES games do you have?

...I'm getting my house renovated as we speak. I'll have lots more room tomorrow!

Big Bro Shirt
Master Sword

DK Jr Math (Maybe, maybe not)

And then, can you tell me how to get Wario's Woods and possibly Clu Clu Land D?

(Also, if somebody else wants some of this stuff and can trade some boxing items to Hipery, I'm sure I can make a deal with you to get a copy of the thing you traded him for. I hope that made sense.)

I have the following items:

cabana screen
snowman couch*
folk guitar
blue clock (it's a large, "tick-tock" clock)

My brother has a violin, and I could probably get one from him.

I strongly suggest that, when getting passwords from others, you copy the password into a word processor and change the font to something like Courier that will allow you to differentiate between the letters. That's what I do, and it has worked every time so far.

*I'm not sure the snowman couch can be traded. If I give it away, I cannot buy another one. What we could do, if it can be traded, is this: I give you the couch password, you enter it twice, getting you two couches, and then you give one back to me.

It works fine for me in Arial. And I have to print them out anyway, because this computer is upstairs and my room (hence my GCN) is downstairs.

And Hipery, you're sure you're entering all those passwords correctly?

Oh, jjf, it's not the site so much as the font that the pages display.

       vbxoIh@n7Xo7XI
Space Station: M7COb%Rtjwdg#c

Ebony Piano: kaQ6akRnXwKEen
             p#@TsRKQsiC3VR

Does anyone have an 'N Logo' or a Mario trophy(that they would like to trade)? Also,

Aaahhhhhh!!! Attack of the non-working passwords!! It's affecting everyone in this thread now! Maybe we should start a new Animal Crossing thread and hope it all blows over . . .

Big Boo, each one of the passwords I gave you contains at least one letter that, in the Arial font this forum uses, looks like it could either be a capital "I" ("eye") or lowercase "l" ("el"). Are you sure you entered the correct letters when trying the passwords? To be sure, do what I've suggested: copy the passwords and paste them into a program that will allow you to change them into a better font.

Also, I used the town of Norfair and name of Rob, as you said are yours in "Animal Crossing Area," to create those passwords. Are these names correct?

Finally, Big Boo, thank you for giving me stuff!! I don't have time to enter the codes right now, but when I do, I hope they work for a change! Let me know what's happening with you—I can get the passwords again if you want.

Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Luigison on January 20, 2003, 10:23:04 PM
Here are codes for a file I am not using.  The town is E and the name is E.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Insert your spare blank memory card into Slot A of your Nintendo
Gamecube.  Insert the “Animal Crossing” game disc and begin play.

2.  When Rover the blue cat asks for your name, enter ‘E’.  That is,
the capital letter ‘E’ and nothing more.  When he asks where you are
going, name the town ‘E’ as well.  Your town name and player name will
both be the capital letter ‘E’.

3.  Complete Nook’s chores.  You have to do a few things for Tom Nook
before you will have the opportunity to enter codes.  It might take you
a little while, but hey, look at all the furniture you are going to
get!

4.  Once you are free to shop at Nook’s store, choose ‘Other things...’
under the first menu.  Next, choose ‘Say code’.  This is where you
enter the passwords.  You can only enter three at a time.  After three,
you must save and quit your game before you can enter more.

5.  If you want to move items to your original town (which probably has
a much cooler name), then you just bury the stuff in the ground or
leave it lying there.  Take a train trip using your original character
and pick the stuff up.  You get on the train by talking to Porter the
monkey at the station.  You will need your original memory card in Slot
A and your new ‘E’ town memory card in Slot B.  You could also do it
the other way around.  Please consult your game manual for further
details.

6.  Capital ‘I’ (as in hike) and lower case ‘l’ (as in lake) appear identical in many font styles.  Try changing your
display font if you are having trouble.  As far as I know, the game
does not use the number ‘1’ in codes, nor does it distinguish between
‘0’ (zero) and capital ‘O’ (oscar), meaning either one will always
work.

7.  You can enter a valid code as many times as you want. If you need
more than one of something, just enter the code again.  Try entering
the code for the Arwing repeatedly and selling them back to Nook.
They’re worth over 6,000 Bells.

Enjoy the massive HRA ratings that you should receive by using this furniture.

Remember, these are for town E and name E only.  After starting town E and getting these items you can give them to your regular town.  (see instructions above)

REMEMBER, the codes on this post are for town: E and name E only.  Sorry I am sounding like a broke record hear but I get so many people telling me the codes don't work that didn't read my instuctions.

All other codes I posted in this forum are universal so they work with any town with any name.  Enjoy :D

Dang, that took up too much room on the board.  So, I posted all 345 of the Univeral Codes I know of on my site at

http://www.geocities.com/dennisshows/Animal_Crossing_Universal_Codes.html

Also, I put up all the e-reader card codes for series one at

http://www.geocities.com/dennisshows/E-reader_Checklist.htm

If you find any codes on the above page that don't work let me know and I will check my cards.

I am working on series two now.  They just came out today and I bought 24 packs of 5 each.

Is anyone here interested in trading any AC cards?

Don't say I never gave you anything.  (see the previous posts I made) Most of the above codes have been tested, but some come from  people on other sites/forums.

I am currently working with Dairy King on his site and http://projecthyrule.com/ with my town: Hyrule and name: Link

I will have codes for that town later.  For now just go to projecthyrule.com for the one posted.  I may also ask for codes from some of you later.

If you want to send me something now, I am looking for stuff in the Jingle (red), Spooky (orange), and Green (green, duh) Series.  (see above for what I already have) I am also looking for more from the citrus, and frog sets.  As well as as many houseplants and bonsais I can find.  I am having the hardest time finding anything with yellow feng shui.

Anyone have a great name for a Mario related town?

Anyway, this is finals week so I have work to do.  I will be back here this weekend.

I think you have to use the GBA to get Wario's Wood, but I haven't got it yet.

Yes, I have Clu Clu Land, and will give you a copy, and Luigison is correct. Wario's WoodS is on "Animal Island".

Oh man. This is crazy. Luigison, if you created and copied all those passwords for "E," then I compliment for doing so much work. But it’s mind-blowing work, if you ask me. All of this is not even considering projecthyrule.com, which is something else. That's just over my head. No offense, Luigison, for you've apparently put A LOT of work into this, but I'm just gonna enjoy Animal Crossing, getting the stuff I can from Mr. Nook and my fellow villagers. I've done some trading via the Fungi Forums but, liked I said, I'm overwhelmed by all this. The limited trading I do with other people here is as far as I’m going to go.

And I thought I've been doing a lot of work with my Nintendo Power index . . .

I am still looking for Wario's Woods.  I know it's on the island using the GBA, but where/how do I get it?

Also if you have universal codes for any other NES games please let me know.  Or, if you want to give me one my town is "Hyrule" and my name is "Link"  Thanks

Now to clear up a growing misconception.  I helped with ProjectHyrule.com.  I gave them ideas about design and code, but I did not make the site.  I helped with the AC code archives.  That's part of why I have so many AC codes (345 univeral not to mention all the other towns like E and Hyrule).  Hyrule has losts of stuff, but I want to make a new town with Mario.  Anyone have some good names for a town with Mario.

Hobbiton.

This isn't very original, but why not just call it "TMK"? We all know what it stands for, and it fits nicely. It's also correct; TMK is where Mario lives.

I paid off the rest of my debt today! ß120,000 in ONE day! Nook has promised me another expansion (I'm intentionally not saying what it is so as not to spoil the game for those who are not as far along as I am), so there's gonna be more debt tomorrow. . . . Come on stringfish, I need you now! Raid my house, you huge, expensive pieces of streamlined, fish-colored beauty!

Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Chupperson Weird on January 22, 2003, 11:57:40 PM
Hmm... how did you get so many Bells so fast? (Or was it fast?) I still owe about ß145,000 on my first expansion. *sigh*
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Watoad on January 23, 2003, 12:08:46 AM
Fast, you ask? No, no speed was involved. My house was exploding with stuff that I could not sell; I badly needed more room. So I said to myself yesterday, "I'm going to take an aggressive stand against this debt of mine." (I really said that.) Let me just say that I played a lot of Animal Crossing today. The key word in my raising so many bells: fish. I did lots of fishing today. The stringfish is very important, and I caught at least two of those. There were many other contributing factors, such as fruit (ß500-type) and red rocks, however.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help

Watoad:  Hey, TMK was my first idea, but is their another official name like Hyrule for Link.  How many Characters can be in a town name anyway.

C. Weird:  No, I did't try digging.  I just was asking, because I just won a GBA on Yahoo! Auctions, but have to wait for my PayPal account to be confirmed so I can pay for it.  Sigh...

Nobody:  I don't have a e-reader yet either so I won't be able to use all my card (except for the codes).  Besides I have been buying the Series 2 AC cards for $3/pack and selling most for about $8/pack on ebay.  I really like the money, but I am never going to make my collection if I sell every card I get.

Myself:  Open the pack and then only sell the idividual cards you have duplicates of.  (i ended with a prep. again)

Reply to Myself:  You idiot.  Why did you open Cash Crazed's "Your an idiot link"?

Everyone:  Don't forget, Sunday, Feb. 2nd is Groundhog Day.  Animals will start showing up at 7 a.m. and the event starts at 9 a.m.  Afterwards go talk to Toritmer for a gift.

Luigison, if you don't mind the lack of a space, you could have the town name be "ToadTown."

I don't have a GBA. . . . Maybe I'll get a Game Boy Player when it comes out in May! But I already have way too many games. I'd end up with WAY, WAY, WAY too many games. Hmmmm . . .

TBB, I need your town name if you still want the blue chair.

I'm on the expansion that you must pay 398,000 Bells.  The basement is awesome!  Now who said they had a Clu CLu Land available?  I would appreciate a copy, and I'll see if I got anything anyone wants for it.

Okay, Big Boo, you have finally confirmed that your town is Norfair and your name is Rob. Those, then, were not the problem with the passwords I gave you that didn't work. Hmmmm . . .

I can tell you what's wrong with the passwords you gave me, however. This is what you gave me for an apple:

wyLBhJi#O64Xd9

It did not work. Someone else gave me a password for an apple that did work. This is what it looks like:

They are identical except for a capital and a lowercase "X" that are switched in the bottom line, as you can see (the third letter from the beginning and the second from the end). It seems you either didn't copy the passwords correctly from the game or mistyped when you entered them here.

It is easy to make mistakes with these long, random Animal Crossing passwords. It is best to go slowly and double-check each letter after you have it copied down. Do not think that I'm trying to make you feel bad or anything—I apparently need to learn from this advice as well.

Hey C. Weird, I just got the AC Series 2 Star Fox Emblem Design Card D05.  Sorry,  Design Cards don't have codes on them (they are scannable only), and I don't have an e-reader yet.

Also, I posted a code for The Mario Trophy earlier.  Has anyone tested it?

Big Boo, glad to hear they worked. If you feel like giving me the space station and ebony piano again, I'd appreciate it. It's okay if you don't, though.

Refresher:
Town – Cahquene

I haven't tried the Mario trophy password yet, Luigison. Too much to do in that game!

I haven't tried it either... I have way too much stuff.
I also have Clu Clu Land.
Luigison, is there any possibility you could scan that Star Fox Emblem card or something and send me an image of it? I could probably recreate it in my game relatively easily.

OK, TBB.  Here's your Blue Chair.

The O between B and @ may be a zero, but I think it is the letter O.  If it doesn't work otherwise, I have another one I can send you, so tell me if it works or not.

Also, I would like a Cabin Couch and/or chair, if anyone has one or not.  Thanks.

Thank you, Big Boo! My brother is playing Animal Crossing right now, so I'll have to get back to you on whether the passwords work this time. I did compare them to the ones you gave me before, though, and they are not the same (which is good).

All righty, CharginChuck! Your cabin furniture is ready. I posted the passwords a bit differently this time than I did in the past so as to better ensure that they'll work. I cannot control the font in the forums (I don't have any Special Powers), so I put the passwords on a web page I created (where I CAN control of the font). This is also convenient because it allows you to print them easily. Unless problems arise, I will post Animal Crossing passwords in this manner from now on.

Your passwords: http://www.harbornet.com/folks/readers/charginchuck.html

Note: Zeros and capital "oh"s in Animal Crossing are the same. You can use either when entering passwords.

I know a way people could give away items to everybody and get them back.  If we all named our village and characters the exact same thing.  I haven't tried this, but it may be why a forum friend of mine was so fast generous giving items to my village Hyrule and character Link.  If this work, the only proplem would be starting over with new files, but if I read my instructions right you could have one file in slot a and one in a slot b memory card and echange the items between memory cards without using codes.  I haven't tried either of these ideas.  Does anyone know if they might work?  And, it works is anyone willing to do it?

You cannot create passwords for someone in a town with the same name as your own. For example, if your town is Hyrule and you type "Hyrule" when Tom Nook asks you to whom you want to send your item, he will not give you a password. This is true regardless of the player name you enter—it's the town that matters.

And yeah, Watoad, I was trying to ask if you could give me an asteroid. I didn't see that you got a Mario trophy.

I write poetry when I`m not looking.

Okay, Chupperson. I'm on it. Once both Tom's store is open and I get the chance, I'll get that for you. I might just throw in another floating space item along with it, too. It and the asteroid would go well with your lonely Arwing, don't you think?

jjf8420, I do not believe that gyroids can be traded with passwords. However, there are universal codes for some of the gyroids you're seeking. I cannot guarantee that they work, for I didn't create them, but I can post them here. Would you like me to?

Yes please post them!! I'll give just about anything you name for them. Chupp, Please send me the Piano. After the Piano, all I need for the upstairs is a Pothos plant and a String Bass.

Chupp, if you can find out what kind of Sputnoid you have, I can tell you if I have it or not.

I have:

Mini Dinkoid
Mini Sputnoid
Tall Sputnoid
Regular Sputnoid
Mega Dinkoid
Mini Sproid
Regular Rythmoid
Every single Lullaboid
Mega Echoid
Mini & Mega Harmonoid
Mini & Mega Alloid
Mega Freakoid
Mega Nuebuloid
Dekkoid
Regular & Tall Oombloid
Wee & mini Dingloids
Mini & Regular Gongoids
Regular Croakoid
Tall Gargaloid
Mini, Regular, & Mega Drilloids
Regular Rustoid
Mega Percoloid
Mini Rythmoid
Tall Timpanoid

If you want any of these, let me know, or if you want furniture etc, let me know, I would be happy to trade!!

Oh I can''t wait! F-ZERO is scheduled to come out June 23, 2003.

Chupperson, your passwords are ready.

http://www.harbornet.com/folks/readers/chuppersonweird.html

jjf8420, guess what! Tom Nook had a pothos for sale today. I bought it and turned it into a password for you. Go here to retrieve it:

http://www.harbornet.com/folks/readers/jjf8420.html

It seems the thing I'm looking for most is something you're also in search of: the li'l bro's shirt. Perhaps you could give me a space item (furniture, wallpaper, or flooring)? This is what I have from that set so far:

asteroid
flying saucer
lunar lander
lunar rover
rocket
satellite
space station
Spaceman Sam

Also, I have universal codes for three of the gyroids you are looking for. I do not know if they work, so you're pretty much on your own with them. Hope it goes well.

**Mega Dinkoid**

Did this font just change? I'm typing right now, and instead of in Courier New it's something else! Wierd...

Anyway, I have a grapefruit table that I am willing to send to Link in Hyrule.

And Watoad, I'm glad the codes I gave you work. Did you say you had Pinball and Tennis? Because I'm trying to get a complete set of NES games, and all I need are Tennis, Pinball, DK Jr., and DK3. Also, I'm looking for a Mario Trophy... But I have the space theme wallpaper that I'm willing to trade. End Transmission.

Well let me be the first to give you a Space Shuttle! Unfortunatley, I sold my Lunar Surface, sorry :( I'll have the code ready no later than tomorrow!

Thanks again.

By the way, Chupp I don't need a Ivory Piano anymore, because Gamefaqs just made a Universal code for it!!

It's great that the new F-ZERO is coming, but I want Star Fox Armada!

Oh, and in the latest mailbag, somebody posted a code for the Li'l Bro's shirt... don't know if it is universal or not.

Big Boo, I will get you passwords for Pinball, Tennis, and a Mario trophy. The space theme wallpaper would be most appreciated.

jjf8420, a space shuttle sounds great! Thank you! And you could order another lunar surface from your catalog, couldn't you? I'd be happy to give you something else for it (if there's anything you want that I can provide).

I'm pretty sure that the li'l bro's shirt password in the Mailbag is for David of Daytonia. That's what the context of the letter suggests and, if a universal one had been discovered, I would probably know about it.

I don't think that I can buy the Lunar Surface again, because I got it from Saharah the Camel Carpet Seller. Keep your eye out for Wendell, he'll have your Lunar wallpaper.

Are you sure that the code you gave me will work, because I forgot to tell you that I changed my town name... ( oops :( )

Here's my info again:

Town: Cahquene
Name: Errol

Maybe I should make that my signature . . . what do you think?

Yes, Luigison, I'd really like to have li'l bro's shirt! May I have one? PLEEEEAAASE?

Big Boo, it looks like you won't be able to give me that wallpaper after all. According to what jjf8420 said, I'll have to get it myself from Wendell. Anyway, here are your things:

http://www.harbornet.com/folks/readers/thebigboo.html

jjf8420, that's okay about the lunar surface. Even if you hadn't sold it, I don't think you would have been able to give it to me. I believe that everything in your catalog labeled "Not for Sale" is not tradable with passwords. As for the pothos, I sent it to Corneria, not to Seaside. So I'll have to get you another password.

CharginChuck, let's give this a try. I'm collecting (funny thing to say—what in Animal Crossing are we NOT collecting?) yard/outdoor stuff (furniture, wallpaper, and flooring). This is what I have so far:

bird bath
birdhouse
bug zapper
garden gnome
lawn chair
Mrs. Flamingo
sprinkler
tiki torch
backyard lawn
sandlot wall

Here are some more universal codes I found:

100 Turnips Code:
aPShDyYoeR685b
afcAlkwcRCmqi3
Tell Tom Nook

100 Turnips Code:
mRSMDqYokR685s
&%OL&kwcRCmqi3
Tell: Villager

Use the codes to fill your pockets with Turnips.  (you can only use Tom Nook's code 3 time per game, so save and then do it again if you don't want to mail letters)  Sell you pocket full of code to Tom if he is paying 12,000 or more per 100.  If not go to another town and sell them or wait a few days and he might offer a little more, but he generally pays less the more often you sell them.  (supply and demand)

This is a universal code so anyone can use it although you may have to enter it a few times before Tom Nook will take it.

Or, you can mail this universal code for the lunar lander I got from the 049 Dotty ereader card.  Mail the code to a villager.  The letter should have the key symbol on the first line, the first line of code on the second line of the letter, and the second line of the code on the third line of the letter.  Do not put anything else in the letter.

To get the Flying Saucer, mail the following code to a villager.

(key symbol)
2%Q3EhMeRByAY3
n5yYAK9zcHxLo7

Mail code to a nonhuman villager.  Use the return (down left arrow) after the key symbol and 1st line of the code.  Do not put any other text or symbols in the code.

Some villager may reply saying they did not understand the code.  If this happens mail to to someone else.  I think the villager codes are specific to certain villagers, but if that villager is not in your town they work for any villager.  Most villager code do not work with Tom Nook, but I haven't tried this one.

It seems to me that codes mailed to villagers usually take one or two day to get the item, but if you mail enough things (usually 3 or 4 at once) at the post office that they have to send the mail out you will get a reply in 24 hours or possibly less.

I am rambling now, but most of the above is from my own experience with the game so it may not all be entirely accurate in all cases.  I have made some codes by guessing at combinations.  I rarely find a real code, and sometime find codes that lockup the game or corrupt the save file, so If you plan on make your own codes I suggest using a save file on a memory card you don't mind losing.  Also beaware that there are a few corruption causing codes going around the internet.  I could post them here, but then somebody would surely try them and lose everything or purposely send them to someone they don't like.  ramble ramble ramble ...

Does anyone know of a way to copy an Animal Crossing town from one memory card to another one?

If you haven't been to http://www.animal-crossing.com/ you should go there and fill out the survey.  You currently have to click on the Census on the Style page, but the link moves around the site periodically.  They want to know what you like and don't like about the game.  I also tell them things I want to see in future version of the game.  Like more Mario and Zelda textures, items, and clothes.  More NES games including SMB3.  Playable musical instruments like the Ocarina in tLoZ:OoT.  Fishing lures, a bigger house with side rooms and a yard to decorate, Playable characters like Mario, Zelda, etc.  Minigames for Bells like the ones in Oot.  You can see from this that my favorite games are Maio, Zelda, and Animal Crossing.

Someone previously said their town would be perfect too if they could take advantage of projecthyrule.  Well, I have only use Hyrule codes for a couple of pieces of green furniture.  I make lots of bells feeding fruit to the islander on the gameboy advance.  And I get a lot of items by using ereader cards and visiting a file I started on another memory card since every town has different items at Nook's, the trash, and the police station.  Not to mention that I only put thing in my house that have fung sheu (sic?) so I get lost of items from the ground and trees.

I also noticed something that seems like a possible Mario reference.  When you hit a rock (1 rock per town per day I think) with your shovel you may get a bag of bells from it.  If you hit it reapetedly for a short time you can get more bags.  That reminded me of the hiting block with Mario to get coins.  Also after hiting it several time it make a very familiar sound from Mario games.

Everything is perfect!  Hyrule is a very liveable place. ;Þ

Space
Exotic
Regal
Nintendo
Construction
Classic
Snow
Tropical

I have never tried to copy an Animal Crossing save file, Luigison, but it doesn't surprise me that it can't be done. If it could be, then we would have the ability to copy our towns and send them to other people. That would make it possible to duplicate rare items and could negate the purpose of trading with other people (either with passwords or by visiting their towns).

Heh, I filled out that survey twice. The first time was when I had just discovered it. But I filled it out again to tell Nintendo that I find it annoying to be told that animal-crossing.com has passwords for NES games (Clu Clu Land D, Donkey Kong 3, etc.) when there are no such passwords to be found.

I agree with (most of) your ideas for an improved Animal Crossing, Luigison. In addition to those, I think it'd be neat to have either a porch or just the ability to drop furniture outside. Lawn furniture is fun to have inside a house in its own weird way, but it'd be great to put it outside where it belongs.

Some of these things may become a reality, for Animal Crossing 2 has been officially announced by Nintendo Power. It will probably be awhile until that game is complete and available in the U.S., which I think is a good thing.

jjf8420, is the snow set the same as the Snowman set? Of the sets you listed, the space theme is my favorite.

jjf8420, if you want the most hra point and luck in every color use the construction set for the first floor and the fruit set upstairs.  You can get more points with the figurine set upstairs, but they aren't lucky.  Also, put special items in corners to get luck for two different colors at once.

For my character named Link I am currently using green furniture on the first floor and the citrus, watermelon and nintendo sets (with the citrus wallpaper and floor) and I get 160,000 points.  I am collecting the ranch set and old looking items for Link.

For my Mario character I am using construction and Nintendo / Mario items.

Oh, and my wife is using regal for Zelda and lovely for Peach.  Having two players with 2 charaters each and two towns about doubles the items you can get.  Not to mention the e-reader cards and GBA island.  (projecthyrule helps too, but I am trying not to use those codes)

I just found these on projecthyrules univeral codes.  I haven't tested them so they are use at your own risk.

Block Flooring:
666abcdn66efgH
DyGabcd6B6efgH
Tell: Tom Nook

Green Pipe:
ArariaAnfSarah
SpurlOagereo&2
Tell: Nook

----

Random NES game code:
IRSMDqYokR685s
h%LO&kwcRCmqi3
Tell: Villager

Most of the time you try this code you will get a cannon but after you try this code for a while, you will probably get a random NES game. There is a possibilities that you can get a rare NES game like Wario Wood and Punchout, or a mysterious NES game like Legend of the Zelda and Super Mario Bros.

---

Ever notice how many of the codes have a similiar series of characters.  I am working on trying to decode some of the codes and combining them.  Anyone have ideas?

Do you guys not know about the GameCube main menu? You can easily copy your town data in the memory card screen in the GCN menu! Just select the appropriate memory blocks, hit A, and select copy! Easy as pie! (Actually, easier than pie, if you ask me.)

I write poetry when I`m not looking.

Yeah, Chupperson, I know about the GCN's menu. Simply hold down the A button when turning on the system to access it. That's not the issue.

I believe that some games create save files that cannot be copied (duplicated). The games' programs don't allow it. My reason for believing this is that Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (a game I own) Chao data cannot be copied. It can only be moved from one Memory Card to another (which means deleting the file from the first Card).

I have not been able to test this for myself with Animal Crossing because I do not currently have an empty Memory Card.

Also, when you press Z while loading your cube, the 'monkey noise' comes.  While pressing Z on 4 controllers, a 'bongo-like' sound comes.  And finally, while pressing B while your Cube starts up, you are asked for progressive scan mode on certain games, Ex:SFA).

Big Boo, your lunar rover is now ready! Simply go to the URL above.

For all who are interested, I have the following instruments and construction items:

— INSTRUMENTS —
folk guitar
rock guitar
cello
taiko drum
metronome (not exactly an instrument, but it goes well with a piano)
harp
ebony piano

— CONSTRUCTION —
cement mixer
detour arrow
flagman sign
green drum
handcart
haz-mat barrel
iron frame
jackhammer
manhole cover
man at work sign
merge sign
oil drum
orange cone
saw horse
speed sign
traffic cone

Quoting an earlier post: "$900 bells." This makes me wonder something: which is more, $900 bells or ß900 dollars?

This is one topic. There are hundreds more about Mario.
And CashCrazed, just because YOU don't care for Animal Crossing doesn't mean you need to try and put down other people for liking it. I can't believe the ignorance of some people's statements.

We are not "crazy about Animal Crossing" as you so crudely put it. This topic has survived because it's an ongoing game, with lots of different things to talk about. It's that simple.

Sorry, but an attitude like that really annoys me.

I could say something like, "Maybe people are getting tired of talking about Mario," but then Chupperson would probably say that "Mario Bar" has well over a thousand posts and that, no, people are not talking about Animal Crossing more than Mario. So I won't say it.

But I will say this: yes, I do very much like Animal Crossing. And I enjoy talking about it. It's a communication game, one that not only allows players to communicate within it but also fosters communication online because of its password system. If you don't like the game, that's your decision. You have the right to make it as you wish just as we do. It is all a matter of opinion—you are not correct, and neither are we. To almost quote Insane Steve's signature:

Everyone has his own opinions, no matter how WRONG they are.

There are people, CashCrazed, who would say that you are a complete moron for spending your time posting in a stupid forum that accomplishes absolutely nothing. Are you going to listen to them? Are you going to be yourself, or are you going to give into the pressures of this world and become a slave of your own desire not to be rejected by others?

You may think I'm taking this way beyond any implications of your simple remark, but I'm really talking about the same thing. This is something we all have to deal with, and your comment is simply an example of it.

I agree with Chup, Mario is still cool, but Animal Crossing has Mario reference in it, so actually, we are talking about Mario. Cashcrazed, have you even played even an hour of the game. It's a game that you have to play everyday to find out about current events, pull the weeds, help other animals out, make your house nice for the HRA. ( I envy Watoad for scoring so high on the HRA.

If you don't like the game, keep your comments to yourself.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Watoad on February 22, 2003, 02:16:59 PM
jjf8420, if it helps, the key to scoring high is not in the layout of furniture but in the furniture itself. Having a complete set of furniture makes a big difference, and rare items raise the score way up. My score was high because I took both of these to the extreme: I used the complete Snowman set (which is entirely rare furniture anyway), three full dinosaur skeletons, and a bunch of other rare things like Mario items and NES games.

Uggggh.........Animal Crossing has to be the most pointless game i have ever seen. Face it, the whole MAIN purpose of the game is to collect stuff, in every way, shape, and form, making it no better that that Pokemon crap. I have a friend(yes, I DO have SOME friends) who's been absolutely HOOKED on AC for many MONTHS now! He's collected pretty much all the furniture, all the bugs and fish, and has a full house with about 2 million in the bank, and yet still hasn't yet to see that there is no POINT to this childish game. Do you know what I said to him after I asked him to come over to my place but he refused on behalf of his AC game? I said "Try getting a real life, rather than living out a pathetic virtual one!". I'm quite the Animal Crossing hater. It's the one game my PARENTS actually played more than I ever did, for a good reason!

I'll admit that the game has no solid point, but that's why the player has to give it one!  It's basically a toy box, and the player finds his own way to amuse himself.

I bought the game along with my brother and two friends, and we all live in the same town.  It's a lot of fun; we give our characters personas, and they play them out.  We've got a pirate, who pillages other towns and raises the Jolly Roger on the local island, "the hooligan," an alter-ego that runs around town knifing people (or at least threatening to do so,) ... and the fact that the townspeople save the letters that are sent to them, and show them to other players... you could just be running around talking to people when suddenly you find an hilarious letter...  It's much more fun than I can possibly make it out to be in explanation.

Also, more interestingly, when the game first came out, apparently the people at Blizzard (game company responsible for Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo,) were really into it.  The had it set up with two towns where people would sign up for a time to play, and they played competitively.  They'd go to the rival town and do things like chop down trees until their axe broke, leaving the stumps, dig up flowers, and buy all the items from the store, which wouldn't restock until the next day.  And then they'd also hoard tools (especially axes,) trying to prevent anybody else from becoming too powerful.  A crazy experience, to say the least.

I dunno... Yeah, the game's not for everybody, and I can see how you could easily dislike it, but it's still an interesting game.  A lot of time went into making all of the details, and it's quite innovative.

Go Moon!

Anyway, like I said before, just because you personally don't care for it doesn't make it stupid. I'm sure that there are at least a few games that you like that I (and other people too) would think were stupid, and possibly worse.

Also, the game's kinda worth it just or the NES games. It has about twenty. Most of those would cost 5 bucks each on an e-reader or even more on an actual NES, which costs about $40. So, you would wind up paying around $200 just for the NES games, and you can instead buy Animal Crossing for fifty dollars. See what I mean?

Hmm... well, if I were to venture a guess, I'd say that people have reverse-engineered usable codes, down to the bare essentials.  The solid, recognizable words would the base for the code's information - a blank slate, except perhaps for some categorization.  Upon this is added the specific information, which then alters the characters.  I'd guess that the numerous "base patterns" would help to deter the reverse engineering (you may have two or three codes that look similar, then another that's completely different,) but apparently that didn't fully work.

Of course not.

Chupperson, there are various universal passwords with recognizable words in them. Check this out:

**high-end stereo**
SupermariobroS
AnImAlCrOssiNG

And they can change a little. Take these examples, and notice their similarity to the one above:

**red clock**
SupermariobroS
AiImAlCrOssiNG

**robo-clock**
hGpermakiobroS
z4ImAlCaOssiNG

The whole universal passwords thing is very strange. So it kind of makes sense that some of the universal passwords would be strange in themselves.

Here's another really weird one:

**modern chair**
A2345678912345
12345678912345

Hmm. That whole universal passwords deal is insane. I kinda wondered why the Arwing universal password had 23456789 or something in it. I suppose that since there are so many items in the game, it's inevitable that some words will give you stuff...

When Black Friday comes
I'll stand down by the door
And catch the grey men when they
Dive from the fourteenth floor
When Black Friday comes
I'll collect everything I'm owed
And before my friends find out
I'll be on the road
When Black Friday falls you know it's got to be
Don't let it fall on me
When Black Friday comes
I'll fly down to Muswellbrook
Gonna strike all the big red words
From my little black book
Gonna do just what I please
Gonna wear no socks and shoes
With nothing to do but feed
All the kangaroos
When Black Friday comes I'll be on that hill
You know I will

When Black Friday comes
I'm gonna dig myself a hole
Gonna lay down in it 'til
I satisfy my soul
Gonna let the world pass by me
The Archbishop's gonna sanctify me
And if he don't come across
I'm gonna let it roll
When Black Friday comes
I'm gonna stake my claim
I'll guess I'll change my name

Uhh... anyway, I just yesterday started playing AC again, after a 2-month hiatus, so I'll have more stuff to say here now.
And thanks to Deezer, I have a shiny new Mario trophy. :-D

Does anybody need space stuff? Because after having a completed space theme that took up my entire middle level for about a month, I decided that I'm going to start a Western theme, and all of my space stuff should go, as I have no room in my basement. Sooo... Anybody want space stuff?

I could use some space stuff, although I really need to pay off my ß95,000-something second installment before I get any more stuff.

Anyway, I found a great Universal Password FAQ over at GameFAQs, on this page.
I got Balloon Fight, "Super Tortimer", and some Block Flooring (from the Mario Set)so far, and there's tons of stuff possible.

The trading here is close to dead, so I'll go ahead and give the URL to this text file. It has many universal codes in it as well as regular codes for all tradable items (and some rare NES games, such as Donkey Kong 3 and Clu Clu Land D) for a character named Link in a town named Hyrule (Luigison's names, if you recall). By creating a new town on a new Memory Card and using the names Link and Hyrule, you can immediately have access to a large majority of the items in the game (i.e. everything but non-tradable items).

I haven't post here in a while because I have been playing SMB and Zelda in Animal Crossing.  Sorry, but I haven't found a way to give you codes for them yet.

SMB is kind of hard playing with the analog stick and the digital pad is not comfortable to use because of its location.  Anyone here know of any SNES still controllers or connectors for the GCN.

I forgot how large the first Zelda was.  It cool.

If your are wondering I got the games from using a Replay cheat.  I had never used any cheat devices before this, but playing SMB, Zelda, Wario's Woods, etc. was worth it.
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Chupperson Weird on March 15, 2003, 10:11:15 PM
You can get Wario's Woods with a universal password.
No, there are no controllers for GCN besides the GCN-style controllers.

SMB is kind of hard with a normal NES D-pad. I wouldn't think it'd be any harder with a control stick...

And I thought SMB and Zelda were only a Japense offer thing.

If you can find a way to get me both...

Actually, in EGM (the one with Link on the front, I think) a company is making a SNES-like controller, mostly for the use with the GB Player.

And, which should I use for my 2nd floor (minimum space, best looking, etc)

Backyard Theme
Classroom Theme

Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Watoad on March 19, 2003, 12:21:21 AM
I take a large part of the blame for the fall of this topic. While it was going, I was a major trader, as evidenced by all the passwords I have at http://www.harbornet.com/folks/readers/acpasswords.html. The reason I stopped trading is that I stopped playing Animal Crossing. It was taking up way too much time and was becoming my #1 priority, which is very bad. So I cut it off completely. Animal Crossing is just too darn addicting. In fact, I haven't turned on my GCN in weeks. I guess I'm sort of boycotting video games for a little while, as if that's possible. And it isn't, really. If I stop playing console games, I start playing computer games or spending more time on the Internet.

Anyway, sorry for letting you down.

Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Luigison on March 19, 2003, 10:37:10 PM
SMB is harder with the analog stick because I tend to push it all the way in the direction I want to go.  (unlike some newer game SMB doen't move faster if it is pushed farther)  That means I have farther to move the stick when I want to go change directions.  Since I play with the run (b-button) down at all time it increases the need to sometime change directions quickly.  I could probably change me playing style to make it work, but have ordered an SNES style controler from Japan anyway.

The original Zelda is still cool.  It's huge for an NES game.  Unfortunately Animal Crossing will not download it to the GBA like the other NES games.  Maybe that is because of its size or the save feature.

Anyway, my catalog is full thanks to the cheat, but I still can't buy special items like the Mario mural wallpaper :(

Also, does anyone have a nintendo bench?  If so I will trade anything I have that is tradable.  If you need to make a copy of it (or anything) let me know and I will tell you how.

I paid off my expansion and will now have a basement tomorrow!
I have WAY too much stuff.

And yeah, if not the size of Zelda, then the save thing. The GBA probably doesn't emulate a save file as well as having the whole game in memory. Or it could just be too big.

I found a pitfall the other day.  It is round and white and has a red "!" in the center.

What is it?
Title: Re: Animal Crossing Help
Post by: Watoad on March 29, 2003, 01:02:33 PM
Pitfalls are items that, when buried, turn into hidden pits into which you can fall. The mark on the ground that indicates a buried pitfall is the same as it is for any other buried item. But when a character, either computer- or human-controlled, walks over it, he falls in and sits there wiggling around for a little bit. Once the character gets out, the pitfall is gone. Chances are that it will pop up again sometime later.

The idea is that if there is another human player in your town, you can bury the pitfall behind a tree or building where he normally walks so that he will fall into it by mistake. It's meant to be a practical-joke type of thing. You can also bury it and push an animal into it if you want.

I posted in BORED!! With a pinch of salt.

You might call it a new Special Power. :)
. . . Actually, when I edit a post, I have to enter my user name (and password, of course), but it isn't case-sensitive. I can type "Watoad" or "watoad" or "wAtOaD" or "WATOAD," and it will work. Whatever I type, as long as it's some form of "Watoad," will appear at the bottom of the post.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed when I found out what pitfalls do. But it can be a little surprising when you fall into one unexpectedly. Either I or another human character in my town (I can't remember which) has. Maybe, if there were something more than just wiggling, it'd be a bit more exciting and surprising.
