Title: The lame commercial for Mario and Sonic is out.

And I, for one, am not pleased. I get a strong 90s "Mario's old fashioned and Sonic's hip" vibe, akin to Sega's old commercials, from this. Bah, ah well.

I still like Mario better.

In addition, is this some sort of internet-exclusive vid? 'Cause it's referred to as "viral", and it seems to me that Nintendo has been sticking with those "Wii would like to play" ads (which suck, but what can ya do).

I thought that video was pretty funny, but hopefully they'll have a better one for television.

This isn't the first time I heard Mario speak a complete sentence. The first time was in a YouTube video with CGI Mario in E3. He even gets censored! XD

I've not seen the commercial yet (my computer's old, it hates streaming movies), but I'm going to trust the other posters with how good it apparently is. Sonic just MIGHT be being a pest.

How else do you explain how Sonic was slow in the 360/PS3 game?

Sonic lets himself go between games, or this is the reason why Mario can run as fast as him.
