Video Game Chat / The 3rd Party Wall of Shame
« on: April 28, 2011, 12:56:31 PM »

Granted, there are a few gems to be found in this list. But the fact still stands that the vast majority of the Wii's major third-party releases suck. The Wall of Shame is even more impressive (or depressive, I should say) if clumped together as such:

How the **** do I connect to 4chan's IRC channel? I'm sick of being permabanned because some **** with my IP address posted whatever [dukar] in 2007. I downloaded mIRC (but didn't pay the $20 registration fee), and now I don't know what the **** to do next. What the **** is this bull[dukar]?

And yes I'm ****ing mad.

Video Game Chat / "A WINNER IS YOU!", AKA Weegee's Required Reading #1
« on: February 04, 2011, 03:38:22 AM »
Why is it that so many video games deny the player recognition for beating them? Are developers really too lazy to implement a post-game mode or accolade to acknowledge one's completion of a game, or do they assume players would prefer to fight its final boss over and over and over and over and over ad infinitum? To bring this to its logical extreme, a game that doesn't save after being beaten might as well not save at all.

Thoughts?

General Chat / Brad Pitt to Play John Lennon in Upcoming Biopic
« on: January 12, 2011, 12:04:39 AM »
http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/actor-brad-pitt-may-allegedly-play-john-lennon-biopic-late-singers-life-01-10-2011

Of all the potential candidates for such a presitgious role, why Brad Pitt? This is, in my opinion, the worst casting decision since Lou Diamond Phillips portrayed Ritchie Valens in La Bamba. Even Perez Hilton isn't sure what to think of it.

No word yet on whether Angelina Jolie will play Yoko.

Mario Chat / The True Face of Mario: Mario Segale
« on: January 07, 2011, 08:54:50 PM »
Nintendo fans and gaming historians alike have long contemplated the details of Mario's origins. It has become common knowledge that the character's namesake is real estate developer and former landlord Mario Segale (often misspelled as "Segali"), who owned Nintendo of America's head office in the early '80s. Earlier last year, author/tech-nerd Benj Edwards managed to procure an old photograph of the elusive Segale (attached below), as well as some information regarding the man. Read about the investigation here.

General Chat / Moving iTunes...
« on: January 04, 2011, 10:55:26 PM »
For the past seven hours I've been trying to transfer my iTunes library from the old family PC to my new laptop, with no luck. The most popular method doesn't work for iTunes 10, and most others are far too complicated for any non-Korean to possibly comprehend. I don't own an external hard drive or any such geeky bull[dukar], by the way. If it requires more hardware than two computers and a USB stick, don't bother posting it.

So, who here knows of a simple transfer method? Please don't **** around with DOHOHO THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR USING ITUNES. I'm ****ing ****ed as is.

While they're both excellent titles, we all know that no two games are created equal. So, which Galaxy do you believe is superior, and why?

Merry Christmas, TMK! Now, sit on old Santa Weegee's lap and tell me what you want this year.

Personally, I don't know or care what I'll be getting besides the 25th Anniversary SMAS bundle and a laptop.

Video Game Chat / Kirby's Epic Yarn
« on: October 30, 2010, 12:24:58 AM »
Apparently, this game warrants its own thread, so... Discuss away.

To start, I'm surprised at how well the whole "yarn" theme is woven throughout the very fabric of the game. Also, as mentioned before, Epic Yarn often plays as though it's cut from the same cloth as Yoshi's Island. Despite that, it stays true to typical Kirby style by being too easy: You can't die, and the game often throws you a proverbial line whenever you seem stranded. Overall, I'd say it's worth a spin.

General Chat / The Emu Thread: Discuss emus here!
« on: September 02, 2010, 05:45:17 PM »
There aren't any topics about emus in the video game chat, so I don't believe you. Also its called "Video Game Chat", not emu chat. I need a forum that fits the theme.

[Note: The concept for this game has been shamelessly stolen from a recently-archived 4Chan thread.]

Go to the Video Game Name Generator, and draw cover art for your favourite results. Or, if you're feeling lazy, simply post the best titles you get, as such:
