If you see a commercial for an SMB ringtone, please tell me. I just got a cell phone and all the ringers suck. Just put the number and I'll get it when my mom lets me.

Well, there are some on this site: http://www.ringtonejukebox.com/ringtonelist.asp?lt=4&AuthorID=203

I just Googled it.

Why not just use a regular phone "RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG"?

Or, compose it if your phone has a ringtone composer.

Or you can hit the right buttons in the right order to play the SMB song.

Cool, I'll probably end up going there.

Yep.

The RING on this phone is boring and obnoxious at the same time!

It doesn't. I made a nice Luigi's Mansion theme on an old T Mobile phone, but it doesn't get service at all anymore.

Okay, you can go to the online store, right? Well, I did search, and I found the ringtone, "Super Mario Brothers". That's my current ringtone. 8)

Cool, I found one. I'll buy it when I'm allowed to, my family has to recover from the financial damage caused by Christmas.

Does your phone support MMS? (aka Picture Messaging) If it does, you could just find a Mario midi, save it to your computer, and then email it to your phone. That's what I always do.

How do I send it, do I just put the number in the "Send To" box?
I've got a TON of MIDIs that'd make perfect ringers. I hope I can get this to work...

You send it to yourphonenumber@mms.mycingular.com

Their site didn't say if it costed anything for receiving messages or not. If it does, its probably like 25 cents or something.

Is your cell perhaps...REALLY OLD!?

Anyway, I bought my SMB ringtone off of the Buy It Now option on my cell. Xringer has a good version.

Hmmm... I tried the regular phone number, the 1-559- number, and both sent me the "didn't work" message. Then I just tried the 559- number and I haven't gotten anything. It might have worked, but the weather's terrible, I'm just barely online right now.

I just send midi's off my computer to my cell phone by its email address. (most companies make each phone have an adress, usually like this: ##########@phoneservice.com) i download the midis off the internet, and they play pretty well on the phone

I find it hilarious that people pay for ringtones.

« Reply #16 on: January 17, 2006, 06:38:57 PM »
Yeah, but it's impossible by what I see to get them free unless they're the ones that come with the phone.

Just get a USB cable for your phone and you can download as many ringtones as you want right from your computer.

Oh, I'll try that when I find a USB cable.

Maybe you shouldn't waste your money getting a goofy ring tone that will just end up bothering everybody who hears it.

Yes, oftentimes the charging plug and computer connection go to the same port.

Non-gamers would be bothered by someone having video game music as a ringtone.

The ringtone advertisements on TV, if I am reading them right, automatically sign you up for this service that gives you random ringtones for like $19.99 a month. Next time you see a commercail for one of these, read the fine print. If it's on the screen long enough to read, that is.

These and those "Joke of the day on your phone" commercials have become the new bane of my existance. ... Well, my existance with regards to advertisements.

I have SMB ringtone, graphic, and game on my cell phone. The game is the exact same as the regular SMB1. I play it all the time. ;)

I'm using the SMB underground theme from SMS that I transfered using an after market USB cable.

My guess is she downloaded Super Maria Sisters. It's in magazines here in Australia...
