I wanted to experiment with the different layer styles in photoshop.  I know the Mario's image in the moon idea was done in MKW.  You can kind of say it was inspired from that image in Moonview Highway but I placed the layer there for this image mostly for symbolic purposes.

Agreed. Bowser seriously scares me in this picture.

Well, in there it just flashes by. By being in static form, this one just makes me stare, captivated by fear, for hours on end.
