Respawning KO'd legendaries is very unnecessary.  Any experienced player knows that he/she just needs to save their progress RIGHT before challenging the legendary.  If you mess up, simply flip that power button and try again.  Newer gamers who don't know that will just learn the hard way like many of us did.

I have nicknamed some of my Pokemon after Mario and Zelda characters.  I named a Seel Mario, but I don't remember how I saw much relation.  I remember my cousin and I joking about Mario being spastic, but I no longer know why I saw that Seel to be more spastic than any other Pokemon.  I always name a female Ponyta/Rapidash Epona for obvious reasons.  My old Silver version had a Pikachu named Zelda.  Spoink is Ganon.

On the actual topic, I think renaming the party would be a great option in a Mario RPG.  It was sort of available for the Yoshi kid in TTYD (granted it didn't really have a name in the first place because it had just hatched).  I'd like to see them expand on the idea of naming party members

Some of us don't battle competitively period.  Many of us are just trying to fill up our pokedexes, and get as many as legitimately possible.

Okay.  I got a Torchic, Chikorita, and Lucario (which I can breed for a Riolu).  I can breed any of the starters except the Sinnoh.  The only gen IV game I have is Soul Silver.

@cosmic_c: Pikachu is in Veridian Forest.

I am NOT a battler, but I do some breeding from time to time.
1205 1491 8546.  If anyone has Chikorita, Torchic, any of the Sinnoh starters, Riolu, Glaceon, or Leafeon, I have a spare Eevee, and I can hatch any of the starters I did not mention.
EDIT:  I canNOT hatch a Treecko, though.  The reason, it's not in my wishlist is because I can just hatch one on my Sapphire version and migrate it.  But if anyone has a spare Treecko, they are more than welcome to offer me one and save me some time.

I didn't care for the water starter initially, but he looks kind of cute in the fanart.
Also, I really wish we could have a female hero trainer with less revealing clothing.
