OK, I'm needing for advice. I need what you guys think. I'm planning on changing my kart. I just found out that my skill was flawed because of my kart. Which kart should I use? Shooting star or Dry Bomber?

« Reply #1 on: January 18, 2006, 08:26:57 PM »
I always use Yoshi and his(/her?) Egg1. The drifting is very good for snaking. ;)

I just want to use Mario's kart but that flaws my racing with bobman37. B Dasher flaws me against you. I want to snake and have good items, but I don't want to use anyone's standard kart. I rule with Dry Bomber, I just want some of Mario's magic and my emblem is hard to see on the kart. (Man, I'm very picky aren't I?)

Don't worry-- I'm the same way. ;)

You could try using a different character's "magic". :P

I liek using Luigi + ROB's GP Kart.

I always use Luigi + Poultergust 4000. If you really want a battle of the skills, pick the same character/kart as your opponent, then you're identical. You'll have to agree on a kart beforehand, though, since you can't see theirs in the game until the first race.

Ah, mabey Yoshi's Egg1 isn't so good in GP. If you get slightly bumped, you go flying off the edge! :P

It gets good boosts and off-road though. And I don't like the high item rates, since high ones don't help as much as they hurt when you're in first... The high acceleration comes in handy when you get blue shell'd.

The most important factors, to me, are drift and acceleration. There are other factors that weigh in, though, like having an awful speed but awesome acceleration (Dry Bones' karts) and vice versa (Bowser), which is bad.

« Reply #10 on: January 20, 2006, 07:16:10 PM »
My dream kart:

Speed: Awesome
Steering: Medium/High
Items: Not fussed
Acceleration: Awesome
Drift: Low
Weight: Medium

Which is pretty much Luigi in ROB's kart, minus acceleration. :)

I just hated that Nintendo made Luigi and Yoshi better than Mario.

Here's a chart.

Luigi > Daisy > Yoshi > Toad > Everyone else > DK

Oh, fine...

Voices

Everyone > Dry Bones > DK > Daisy

JK... I don't find Daisy's voice particularly annoying, actually. But... I hate DK's voice! He sounds like (censored) Scooby Doo! It's really annoying!!

I don't like the little crackle at the end of Daisy's Wa-hoo! When you pick her... but other than that DK is more annoying. I've always hated Scooby Doo.

Bowser's voice annoys me as well.
Bowser: RES!
Me: It's yes, you moronic Koopa King!

Bowser: Uewwww-MAHAHAHER!

When you get first place, he says this. I hate it!

DK: Scooby Doo voice....

I like Scooby Doo, but why? Why D.K? Very stupid indeed.

Luigi's voice.

I can't understand what he's saying sometimes. Dose he say "gotcha" or something else?

Peach: Always annoying. I miss her SM64 voice. All soft and intelligent. But now......

Toad: Why is it all scratchy like that? His N64 voice was pretty darn good, but then again, that was the Japanese version.

Some voices, like Waluigi and Wario, are very cool. Other's, like Bowser and Peach are pretty bad.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?

It's Gotcha. They've just recycled the SM64DS voices.

Which were recycled SMA voices, partly. "Fetcha" came from SMA2, if not SMA as well.

I thought he was saying "pleasure."

As for kart prefrence: I like R.O.B. in any of his karts the best, but I have to use Luigi or Yoshi online if I want ANY chance of winning. :'(

Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

Just like in Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World I thought Luigi was saying "Flap jack!" instead of "Gotcha!" when ever he got an item.

I don't mind the voice, but for some reason, the figure 8 on its back distracts me, so I can't use him.

Hmm... weird.
It does sound like bones clattering, so it's appropriate, I guess. It doesn't really bother me, since it's quiet. Speaking of, anyone think the voices are unnaturally loud? You're under a bridge, in a go-kart with a motor, a character in another go-kart with another motor that's only kind of close to you, and you can still hear them. That's not really annoying at all, I just think it's barely possible.

I like Yoshi in ROB-LGS because it looks hilarious and feels fun to turn in, but to win I'll go with STANDARD YS.
