Title: Pixelate Filter on home page
Post by: xOrCiST on September 22, 2002, 07:49:21 AM
How did you do the pixelate filter on your home page?  I got the code from MSFT's website, and it wouldn't unpixelate.

Where is the "fizz effect" thing below?  I can't see it.

Dead I am the life, dig into the skin
Knuckle crack the bone, 21 to win
Dead I am the dog, hound of hell you cry
Devil on your back, I can never die

Dig through the ditches,
Burn through the witches
I slam in the back of my

Add
"STYLE="filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Pixelate();"
to the open body line so that it looks something like TMK's:
<BODY BACKGROUND="_tmk_bg.gif" BGCOLOR="#000000" LINK="#6699CC" VLINK="#6699CC" TEXT="#A8A8A8" ALINK="#00F800"
STYLE="filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Pixelate();">

Then you need to download the js files from:
http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/tmk.js
http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/tmk1.js
http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/tmk2.js
(you may need to change http to ftp to download in your browswer)

Then open them in your page so that tmk.js is in the head, tmk1.js at the begining of the body, and tmk2.js is at the end of the body. I tried it on an old sweepstakes site of mine at

http://www.geocities.com/dennisshows/index3.html

 and it works fine. I used tmk's background and js files from the tmk site server as an example, but you should download them and use them from your own server so that you aren't slowing down the tmk server.

I have a lot of experience with building websites and can help you with it if you need.

Thanks.  I am kind weird in how I do my coding: I try to have as little as possible.  I know this sounds crazy, but I don't even press enter after every line!  Anyway, in the js files, there is some stuff I don't need, such as the image randomizer and the NS counter.  What stuff should I take out?

Oh, and by the way, thanks.  It does work.
