I believe an avatar is the post icon or picture which represents you (or something like that) that appears next to each post you make.

Try and check out other forums on the internet. They will most likely have an avatar feature.

By the way, why doesn't Fungi Forums have the avatar feature?

That's the avator I used here until Deezer blocked "div". If you don't know what I mean then don't worry about it.  I just posted this to show an example of an avator.

Deezer blocked "div" because of the damage it can do and how it can be used to change the forum.  Notice the message boards name at Luigison's Message Board. Now that div is blocked this can't be done in the official forums.


There is also still a help file on the server for HTML posting and Smileys.


Avators could be posted in signatures, but I prefer this site without them.  In it simple for the forum is easy to read.

Actually it's not much of a secret.  I used it here along time ago, but got a lot of people mad at each other and me with it.  People at other forums simply ignored it, and that is what everyone here should do too.  I know of at least one other person here and one who has left that knows it too.  We decided not to use it here anymore because its use would only tempt others to go down the secret society path that caused the code wars and nearly ruined this board.  I hope you haven't opened up that can of worms again, and don't encourage people further.  If you are reading this and are confused, don't worry about it.  It's not worth it anyway.
