Title: FireFox Advice
Post by: HolyAarom on October 21, 2007, 05:36:53 PM
I worked on this topic a few minutes ago. I used the spell check, pop-up blocked. Allowed Pop-Ups. Page Refreshed. ALL CONTENT I TYPED WAS GONE. (IE)

That's it, I've had it with this browser.

I'm switching to FireFox.

Tell me what it does just like/better than IE. (Website Access, Pop-Ups, Java Use, Homepages, faster and more reliable connection, etc.)

I have no problems with Security Problems. IE just keeps failing on me.

Link to download would be appreciated, since I'm not sure which version to get. Also, I'm not going to use any add-ons/toolbars. I assume that's fine. One more thing, does it take that much data out of my system? My computer's nearly 5/8 full of data, and I'm still trying to make it faster.

Bird and Solid, let's take this to chat.

Oh darn, the text looks blocky and small.

Also, I need to download a Flash Player AGAIN, and there's all this stuff that FireFox is telling me to do and stuff.

Also, I'm screwed now, as I can't use IE anymore, since I made FireFox my default browser.

Screwed? How so? I'd say... liberated. Sure you have to do a lot of stuff now, but it's less hair you'll pull out of your head in frustration with IE.
But, if you need a haircut you can use IE if you just open it with the icon or start menu.
Ctrl + scroll wheel could be a solution to your font problem.

Firefox is also skinnable with skins from the website, which imo pwns to no end.
