Title: Zelda: The Minish Cap help

OK, I'm in South Hyrule Field, and there's a tree with stars around it, showing I can shrink to the size of the Minish, but no matter how much I try, I can't shrink. Oh, and I only have the Earth Element, if that matters.

If it's a fully-grown tree topped with leaves as opposed to a stump, you'll need the Pegasus Boots before you can use it as a Minish Portal. You can't acquire the Pegasus Boots before your quest for the Wind Element begins, though.
