Title: Bad button timing in PM2

How long has it been since I posted here?  Quite awhile for sure.  I have a strange problem in TTYD that is driving me nuts (well, it did drive me nuts last time I rented it).  Whenever I try to make C. Bobbery or Smasher (my Yoshi) do a power-up attack like lick-and-spit or explode, it doesn't work and I fall on my face.  I never had trouble with this before but for some reason I am now.  Are the buttons a little messed up or have I completely lost my timing?  Can anyone lend a reptilian brother a hand?

Well, reptilian brother, you must have lost your timing, because the button timing isn't messed up.

Lizards in zoos are really dudes - dudes using disguises everyday.

Don't use a turbo controller.

Some GCN controllers have that problem. Stuck buttons or irresponsive ones. Just try using another controller.
